Upgrade Requests

Have an upgraded mech in your plot? Want to add on some noncanonical weapons to your current ride? Want to get some equipment to turn your character from a 10-year-old doofus into a credible threat in a firefight? This is the post to ask for it.

Reply here with any proposed upgrades. This can be equipment for your mech, an entirely new or modified-into-unrecognizeability mech, or equipment for on-foot fights - anything more complex than an assault rifle on foot should be requested.

The mods will consider each upgrade application and either approve it, or suggest modifications if we feel it's outside the realm of appropriate gameplay additions. Please request upgrades before you use them in character.

Required information

Player alias, the character you are requesting for and the character's canon: Yeah, we can't do anything if we don't know who you are.
New or drastically altered mech: Should follow the same writeup guidelines as on the mecha section of the original app. If you want to upgrade to a mech you already detailed for us in your app, link to it here or remind us that it's in our inbox if you sent it privately. If not, please write a detailed description.
Modifying your existing mech: Just post with a general idea of the upgrades/modifications.
Wacky new guns or martial arts training: Again, give us a general idea of what you're intending.
Temporarily piloting a generic mecha that the White Chalice picked up: Don't need to bother posting here! Just head to Un-assigned mecha and pick one. That's what they're there for.

Special case: Cross-canon upgrades

In some cases, a character might want some ability, weapon, or technology from a completely different originating canon. For example, someone might want to pick up a Nanoha-style magical Device or Kamen Rider henshin doohickey as a weapon for on-foot missions, or add some radio-controlled Fangs to their non-Gundam 00 mobile suit. This is acceptable, and we will approve things that add variety to a character's abilities, but upgrades like these will be given added scrutiny, and subject to a few guidelines:

1) Your character will not be as effective with something from another canon as the characters from that canon. People like Amuro Ray and Nanoha Takamachi are ludicrously effective with their chosen tools through intense training, natural ability, and heavily personalized weapons. You can't just pick up a magic staff or mobile suit and duplicate their abilities.
2) Your character will not be as effective with something from another canon as they are with their own canonical abilities. This is to give flavor, fallbacks, and roleplaying opportunities, not to have a lame mobile suit pilot discover his true calling as a Kamen Rider and give up on his Zaku.
3) Please ask permission out of character from members of the canon you wish to borrow from. They have right of first refusal.
4) Bear in mind in-character restrictions on abilities. You won't become a Gundam Fighter without at least enough super strength to handle the Mobile Trace System, and you cannot become an Otome without the blessing of several important NPCs. Or if you're a man.
5) Don't be this guy. We will ban you, and then we will laugh at you.

Drastically altered mech, from canon, combining with one we haven't had a chance to introduce because we're NPCing the Green and Black Rangers.

Robot Name: Zenith Megazord

High Octane Megazord combines with ValveMax Megazord (Green and Black). Greater firepower, and requires five pilots to use the Wheel Blaster for the finisher, which channels the energy of all six Zords and the Rangers through the Megazord and blows up the enemy.

New Gadget: Denden Sensor

Denden Sensor is not a weapon, nor has it any known interactions with W's Memories. It appears as a snail, and can switch to Goggle Mode. In Goggle Mode, the wearer can see invisible people, objects, etc. In Snail Mode, it can project a small beam to do the same thing in a limited range. Additionally, it can be used as night vision goggles, or for surveillance purposes (the Giji Memory powering it can store 8TB of data).

Description from Wikia:
The Denden Sensor is a pair of night vision goggles that switches between Goggle Mode. Its primary ability is to detect changes in the light spectrum and alert its user to possibly cloaked targets. Its Goggle Mode also serves this purpose, used to detect the presence of the invisible Lily Shirogane in its first appearance. It is also used as a surveillance device, being able to store 8 terabytes of information in its Giji Memory. The Denden Sensor is the second Memory Gadget Philip is seen constructing from a set of instructions sent to him by Shroud.


To make it more effective in UG@, I'm proposing a non-canon option for it, which is similar to the Bat Shot + Luna Memory. BS+LM creates flashes of light that can reveal hidden enemies and stun them. What I'm proposing is combining the Luna Memory with Denden Sensor's pre-existing "reveal hidden enemies" ability, to give it a larger range. While this would not do much good on a mecha mission (Goggle Mode would be much more useful), for an on-foot mission, it should be powerful enough for at least a 5-10ft range forward, wide, and up.

Ash Blaze/Nanohana "Hana" Himesaki/Project PreDestiny/New Weapon/

Weapon: "Sapphire Arrow" Bowcaster
Description: After acquiring the Chozo ice beam guns in the ruins. Hana found that she had a new potential weapon. However, there was a problem - gun was just a tad too small for the Desu's hands and too big for her own. Solution: Using specialized plans, a bow and arrow-like weapon was developed, code-named "Sapphire Arrow".

Condensed, the Bow Caster resembles a small crossbow that can be held on a PreDesu's side. However, the weapon can twist and expand, turning into full sized bowcaster. It has two basic settings - a simple bolt shot that can freeze a target (or at least part of it) and a charged shot that fires a solid bolt of ice that can piece targets.

Shirley Yeager | Semi-Canon Upgrade | Jet Striker


Upgrades: Jet Striker - The Jet Striker is a unit created by researchers in Karlsland for a member of the 501st. In the series it was meant for Trude, but it was noted that there was a incredible drain of magical energy while using it, to the point of exhaustion and passing out during or after a mission. The engine itself is more powerful than a rotary type of engine, and can exceed 25,000 feet within seconds, thus making it the ideal striker for Shirley.

However it comes with said drawback of using a lot of magical power, and unless configured so that the strain is lessened as well as drawing support from their familiar, Shirley runs the risk of collapsing during battle. Potential reconfigures for the Striker Unit will lessen this risk.

Same Terrain stats follow as the original Striker Unit, retaining its S rank for its intended use.

Note she will not receive the Mass Produced Striker until her mission that gives her the Prototype Jet Striker is completed and at least a couple of weeks have passed.

Kamille Bidan | New Weapon | Funnel x 4

Kamille Bidan joined Neo Zeon for many reasons, but the biggest reason had to be access to Funnels, which he redesigned to be able to fit into the same compartment of the Zeta Gundam's arms where the grappling hook or grenade launcher would go. These smaller Funnels are encased in a covering that give them the appearance to Zeta's Grenades, a design ment to both protect the funnels from the thrusters of the weapons activating in such close space, and to allow dual weapon equiping, allowing for the grenades and the funnels to be loaded in the same arm without issues.

A one man (or servbot) mini submarines that're basically water version of the Drache. It's small, weak, and equipped with missiles/torpedoes and drills. Like Drache, this will presumably work as expendable mooks, just like Hayato's robot army.

With the oncoming trip to space, and the lack of engines on it right now. It would be the best time to integrate some space use engines on Mobius One's fighter.
I have a space stat for when we go to space, just not stock.

With space use, the X-02 looses any advantage the Variable geometry wings give.

(Due to m1's inability to use mechs and her plane being out of it, Something borrowed would not hurt? so something simple when we reach the gigafloat. If any seed/astray players have a problem, I will change it. Steam helped me out)

An Updated version of the sky grasper, The Cosmo grasper is a support fighter. It's role to support Earth forces Strike and Dagger makes it ambiguous enough to pick one up. It is also well enough to be used as a back up when the main unit is fixed.

The Cosmo Grasper has a supply of weapons meant to support units. With a variety of cannons and machine guns it can shred into armor. It also has a beam canon in a turret behind the cockpit, for anti MS operations. It's main feature is the ability to mount Striker packs, like the Sky grasper. If striker packs are available, they would improve the Cosmo Graspers abilities. It also retains Vtol flight abilities.

Gatling guns x2 : Anti Armor gatlings, mounted on the body

Jockey / Michael / Metal Wolf - New Weapons and Minor Performance Upgrades

Recently getting the information that the man behind many of Metal Wolf's weapons as well as Gundam Fighter Maxter was working with the Neo-American resistance. Michael puts in a request to boost the Wolf's firepower. He receives not only that, but additional equipment for the Wolf to make it even tougher than normal.

Performance Upgrades:
*Parts and schematics for said parts that would improve the Wolf's framework - allowing it to withstand marginally larger amounts of damage.

Weaponry:
*Heavy Revolvers - Essentially a potential replacement for the pistols. Bigger punch for shorter range.
*Quintuple Beam Gatlings - A positively devastating weapon that replaces the standard gatling gun. Five beam gatling guns combined to unleash a hailstorm of green beamy death.
*Multi-Tube Bazooka - A revision of the Bazooka design incorporating a four-tube system.
*Advanced Missile Launcher - Upgraded guidance systems and tinkering with the missiles themselves allows for better tracking of targets... and even limited avoidance of weaponsfire. 'Smart Missiles' for a lack of better term.
*Heavy multi missile launcher - A larger and bulkier design. More missiles. More destruction. More circuses.

And a weapon upgrade seperate from the rest.

*Shark Launcher Improvements - A minor upgrade - a cable-jack allowing for easier plugging in of external powersources unrelated to the Wolf. The next time someone needs to borrow the weapon or Michael manages to borrow a switch from Gentarou again this would make things easier rather than having to open the weapon up and root around the wires.

Modifying the Rafale Revive Custom

Since Charles has a new mission coming up, it's probably appropriate to have him reveal more of the weapons hidden in the RRC's arsenal. In this case, two grenade launchers. Both pack a ten-round clip, can fire as fast as the trigger is pulled, and take only one hand to wield while using the IS.

This brings the total used weapons slots up to 13 out of twenty, including duplicates.

Upgraded Robot Name : AP-Frame Type T-F "Technica Finale"
Upgraded Robot Description : This is the fully utilized version of "Technica" that MarKus entirely overlooked during the development of the Type T. The off-colored X design on the chest is actually an additional set of ‘arms’ that open up and operates from the back of the Frame. Each 'arm' is a set of semi-magnetized plates run along a 50 meter wire. The last plates are segmented and mechanized for use as additional hands, the next plates behind those equipped with thrusters. Enabling this 'mode' also doubles the output of the generators, increasing overall performance and granting a slight beam coating-effect over the machine. Essentially, it's a knock-off TRANS-AM. (Yes, it was inspired from Trans-Am at the time of development)
