peter kampschroeder (02:23:12): Roads stops, does that sort of double take towards a window, and notices the lights. "Aw, hell."

Wyverncakes (02:26:37): The lights, meanwhile, are growing even brighter! But in contrast to that, a shadow is being cast over the massive city-state of Arkham. Some massive *thing* is forming over the entire city. A massive metallic sphere, something one might mistake for the moon if not for its positioning and sheer unearthly vibes emenating from it.

Aero (02:27:14): Kurou: "What the hell is that thing?"
Wyverncakes (02:27:18): And it's then that you hear the voice.
sketchbookfiend (02:27:40): Yusuke will get his Henshin on and head for the shuttle with BeatChaser.
Wyverncakes (02:27:41): Is it by some powerful speaker system hacking in everywhere? Is it words being delivered into your mind? Who knows.

Wyverncakes (02:27:57): As soon as the shuttle's prepped, it launches!
Wyverncakes (02:28:15): And you get to hear the words of Master Therion, the Grandmaster of the Black Lodge echo inside of your minds!
Wyverncakes (02:28:27): Master Therion: "People of Arkham City... no, of this entire world!"
Wyverncakes (02:29:01): "I... am Master Therion. The Wielder of the Dragon. The Beast of Darkness. Z'sa Wia... and the leader of Black Lodge!"
Aero (02:29:31): Kurou feels sick to his stomach just from hearing that voice.
Wyverncakes (02:29:34): "And I must thank you for all you've done to allow my organization to achieve its greatest ambitions!"
Wyverncakes (02:30:23): "This world's resources and supplies were bountiful, and our magic was just as possible here as home. The incident at Innsmouth provided us the testing ground for this, our greatest ritual. The C Project!"
Wyverncakes (02:31:09): "Once before, we brought a Great Old One into the world... but it was merely Dagon, a lowly sea god, vulnerable to the weapons you could bring to bear. But the trial was still a success... and now..."
Wyverncakes (02:31:47): From behind Master Therion's voice you hear chanting. Chanting of a girl, of men, of followers of Therion himself. The incantation identical to that which summoned Dagon: the Sublimation of the Sea God.

Aero (02:35:16): Kurou: "GEE I WONDER WHO'S HANDYWORK THOSE ARE."

Wyverncakes (02:35:52): And the shuttle's doors finally open!
Wyverncakes (02:36:05): Pilot: "Okay, we're in range! Get going!"
Aero (02:36:13): Al: "Indeed, this time I won't let him get away with it."

Wyverncakes (02:36:50): And it's then that you hear another voice come through on the comm.!
Wyverncakes (02:36:56): Ruri Hadou: "Kurou! Thank God!"
Aero (02:37:09): Kurou: "Yo Princess, looks like we made it just in time."
Wyverncakes (02:37:19): "After Master Therion said all that, making us out to be fools... it would've been one way to die wondering when you'd get here, just looking at Demonbane with no way to power it!"
Wyverncakes (02:37:45): "We're trying to evacuate the civilians as much as possible, and we're radioing everyone we can for help! But there's not much the police can do here on their own!"
Meraxa (02:38:12): Richard: Looks like you need to get going, Kurou.
tengusaur (02:38:23): Werter: "Don't worry. We'll buy you as much time as you need!"
Wyverncakes (02:38:23): Indeed they're not. You can see the police bringing out armored tanks equipped with missile launchers, with the Destroyer Robots just plowing through them like they're not even there.
Wyverncakes (02:39:05): Ruri: "We'll... deal with that thing once everyone's safe! But until then, please... don't let this city, grandfather Kouzou's city be destroyed like this!"
Wyverncakes (02:39:22): (Enemy lineup: Destroyer Robot x 100)
Aero (02:39:39): Kurou: "Yeah I know, Princess send Demonbane up through one of the elevators. I'll take it from there."
Wyverncakes (02:39:50): (Lineup: Roads, Werter, Kurou, Richard, Yusuke)
Aero (02:39:53): Summoning Demonbane with the imaginary catapult right now...seemed like a bad idea.
Wyverncakes (02:39:59): Ruri: "It's on its way!"
Wyverncakes (02:40:16): (Roads, Werter)
tengusaur (02:45:19): * A shadow appears over one of the Destroyer Robots and starts slowly growing... And then suddenly Prometheus lands heavily on the robot at an angle from above, riding it down the street like a surfing board! "That's right, focus on me!" After a few seconds Werter jumps up and kicks the Destroyer Bot strongly, sending it flying like a soccer ball towards several others! A soccer ball that's covered in green plasma. +
peter kampschroeder (02:45:33): *Roads zips on out of the shuttle, going straight into the thick of it and blasting away with the Zweilicht's shotguns like he's in a John Woo film. A shot here, a shot there-then he leaps atop a nearby building and just fires his thermobaric grenades at the destroyer robot horde until he runs out. "Sorry for our tardiness!"+
Wyverncakes (02:47:14): [Werter] The Destroyer Robot looks up in confusion, its eye beginning to glow with energy as if to prepare for an attack, but your surfboarding catches it by surprise! It gets knocked towards several others, smashing apart one but the others leap into the sky! They're fliars! And now they're unleashing beam cannons on Prometheus!
Wyverncakes (02:47:27): (Kurou, Richard, Yusuke)
Meraxa (02:49:00): Richard leaps from the shuttle of course, making a similar entrance to Werter as he yells out... "IDEIGI!" And is replaced by the massive machine. As it falls, he attempts to smash its shield right through an enemy bot, and block the street!+
Wyverncakes (02:49:16): [Roads] The Destroyer Robots return fire on you as best they can, but their attacks are proving to be less accurate than yours. Zweilicht gets a few glancing hits... but it does down another two, its grenades finishing off the other three in that sector of town!
peter kampschroeder (02:49:48): "Damnit, I need to kill them faster!"
tengusaur (02:50:28): * "I won't let you harm those people, sorry." Werter raises Prometheus' hand, creating a much bigger one made from plasma, floating in front of the white robot like a shield and blocking the beams. And not just that - the giant hand tries to flick one of the shots back at them! +
sketchbookfiend (02:50:28): *Kuuga revs BeatChaser and zooms out of the shuttle, and during mid RAMP IT- Gouram comes flying out from the distance and encase BeatChase in it's armor, letting it seemingly rocket through the air with extra power before ramming into a Destroyer or two with the horns on the armored bike+
Wyverncakes (02:51:12): [Richard] You crush the Destroyer Robot with ease, but two more fliers are above you... each loosing a huge missile at Ideigi's form!
Wyverncakes (02:51:15): (React: Richard)

Wyverncakes (02:52:13): [Werter] You're lucky that Scales of Balance runs on such soft science, Werter! You really are! Well that, and these Destroyer Robots are mooktacular so you stop their attacks with ease... and do knock that attack off-course to destroy another robot!
Wyverncakes (02:52:15): (Approved!)
Aero (02:52:42): * Kurou quickly transforms into Magius form and flies towards the nearest elevator exit. Demonbane appears with perfect timing. "Of course the Princess would be punctual." The two enter the machine in a storm of pages. "She even sent an early Naacal Code. Lets go Al!" Demonbane forms a Lemuria Impact and begins to charge through the army of Destroyer Robots merely touching each one with the sphere. Nothing seems to happen though other than the machines stopping completely. "LEMURIA DELAY IMPACT." "Simultaneous Sublimation!" Demonbane then crushes the sphere and envelops all the touched machines in infinite heat. +
tengusaur (02:53:24): Werter: "Lemuria Impact already? This really is serious!"
Wyverncakes (02:54:07): [Yusuke] The BeatChaser smashes through the robot, and as you go through, you'll make a startling discovery! That machine was unmanned... and it's probable that all the others are as well! So if that's the case... where's Dr. West in all of this?
griefgathering (02:54:09): *Well, Richard, those missiles may be coming very close...too close...before something small stands in their way. You'll probably see a glimpse of pink there too...
Aero (02:54:18): Kurou: "Don't worry it was a variant, so I won't be raising any defeat flags."
griefgathering (02:54:25): "Exelion Shield."
Aero (02:54:33): Kurou: "!"
sketchbookfiend (02:54:36): Kuuga: "Huh? Wait these things are all going by themselves?"
griefgathering (02:55:16): And what's intercepted those missiles is a young woman dressed in white!+

Wyverncakes (02:55:49): [Kurou] Demonbane charges into the thick of things, the robots all opening fire on the machine. Aaaaaand also not even slowing it down! God bless Dr. West and his consistency of outfitting these things with crappy firepower! Still, after all the hand-smacks, they pause in confusion, raising their guns again to attack Demonbane... before they're all blown to smithereens!
Meraxa (02:56:15): Richard: Decided to join the part- ...Who are you? *Richard asks, having summoned the Paladin Blade to otherwise block the missiles, whilst his discarded shield keeps the Destroyers from following after fleeing citizens. Hopefully+
Aero (02:56:33): Demonbane will take that time to pose awesomely...while Kurou gawks at Nanoha.
griefgathering (02:56:41): She's got a pretty fancy looking barrier up, and maintaining it with a single hand.
Wyverncakes (02:56:42): And it's then that another voice comes through on the comm.

Aero (03:03:27): Well...he picked a bad time to fight on the other side from the rest of his allies.

Wyverncakes (03:03:58): It's not a strong or unbreakable one. No... that comes as Liber Legis charges towards you, seven golden swords forming around it before launching out and impaling the Deus Machina!

And seeing as bullets are currently being too slow at killing them, he'll start flash move/dashing through the destroyer robot ranks, cutting away at them with that good ol' magic-boosted sword. "West, why did you make this many?!"+
Wyverncakes (03:12:16): ... And a potent blast of energy surges out... off into a more rural area of the city... blowing up a very particular church!
Aero (03:12:25): Kurou: "!"
Wyverncakes (03:12:27): Were there people inside? Had they escaped?
Wyverncakes (03:12:29): WHO KNOWS!
Wyverncakes (03:12:40): But at that, Master Therion turns to you all, including Dr. West's own robot as well!

Wyverncakes (03:13:12): "Surely all this time you understood what the final events of this sequence would lead up to."

Wyverncakes (03:15:31): [Roads] Fortunately the Destroyer Robots are also totally out of positioning thanks to the binding of Demonbane! Another eight are cleaved through in one fly-by!

Wyverncakes (03:17:56): "Even Demonbane's Lemuria Impact failed to destroy Liber Legis once before, all of your efforts when we battled in South America when I was first brought here failing!"
tengusaur (03:18:44): * Prometheus enters a low stance and his eyes flash brightly for a moment, and the robot rushes towards Liber Regis' direction! But there's a lot of enemies on the way, and the white machine goes straight into the main fray, unfolding the drill lance and piercing through whatever Destroyer Robots might be on its way! The very fast charge changes direction several times, Prometheus even jumps around off buildings' walls, but it doesn't slow down. +

Artifex's black weapon, here along with the white! Are you planning now of forming that combined machine in the hopes of it tipping the balance of the scales in your favor?" And then suddenly the sword cleaves through the plasma hammer, moving in towards Epimetheus's body!

It'll soar through the air to try and cleave any destroyer bot in the way... before heading for the Big C itself!+

You hack through them, and Ideigi launches into the sky towards the distant, immense Cthulhu... and then almost immediately you see a hundred thousand glimmers of light. Oh god. Those are lasers, aren't they? A lot... of lasers.

Aero (03:38:48): * Demonbane summons it's two pistols, he doesn't immediately fire though. In fact he tosses the two guns into the air and begins to channel a massive amount of magic. Two large bullets are formed before splitting into light and loading themselves into the pistols. Kurou then catches the guns and points them at Liber Legis. "Cthugha....Ithaqua God Beast Form...fire." When the triggered is pulled both Cthugha and Ithaqua emerge from the barrels and charge straight at the opposing Deus Machina.
Fri Freeman (03:39:04): Herb: "I was just awake, and then I saw this ruckus in the horizon, so of course I'm checking it. What happened, by the way?"
peter kampschroeder (03:39:21): "Therion's back, and he brought Cthulhu with him."
tengusaur (03:39:38): Werter: "Don't tell me you missed the giant ball of tentacles and lasers over the city."
Meraxa (03:39:40): Richard: GUARDIAN SHIELD! *The response is almost instinctive. The physical shield may be damaged, but it can still be used to throw up the energy barrier instead. Whether or not it'll be enough though...+
Wyverncakes (03:39:43): [Herb and Werter] The Cross of Sinners collides with your two weapons, the blade biting into both of them as Liber Legis's power is plain to see! But still you hold off the blade... before suddenly there's more glowing lights and gravity seems to increase, weighing down your blades! "If you had some greater weapon than that... you would have shown it by now!" The blade lock is broken, and Liber Legis grabs your machines by the arms and slams you two together before knocking you away!

Liber Legis's hand glows white as snow as the machine charges, and it thrusts out at the two charging beasts as suddenly a massive wave of ice is released! "Hyperborea... ZERO DRIVE!" And a chilling blast is unleashed! Colder than even Ithaqua's power... and cold enough to dispose of even Cthugha! Hell, it kinda looked like the Lemuria Impact too. "Daijuuji Kurou! You think your own Great Old Ones are anything compared to that of the great Cthulhu?!?"

VJockey (03:44:34): *With this the Zombio pulls out an absurdly huge bomb from its back and CHUCKS it at the Liber Legis+

sketchbookfiend (03:45:56): *Kuuga quickly does a zoom by to grab a pistol from one of the downed cops before turning around. He revs up the BeatGouram and the armored bike ramps over the debris of the robots he had felled before and midjump...starts flying like a rocket straight into the Destroyer Robots aiming to fly through and pierce as many as he can, he would love to help the robot fight he's more worried about the victims these robots could cause on ground+
Wyverncakes (03:45:58): [Richard] Your shield's raised, no doubt about it... but still, the power Cthulhu can bring to bear is simply too much! Ideigi is pummeled HARD by the lasers, the shield trying to defend as best it can before even its defenses are breached! Ideigi's sent hurtling to the ground, dozens of holes in the machine's form. It's frankly a miracle you can even move the thing as things are right now.
Wyverncakes (03:46:23): Still though Richard. You can see in the entire area around Ideigi... is just a massive crater. Nothing's left.
Meraxa (03:46:33): Richard: Guess.... had to see how strong it was... somehow...

And several lock boxes appear across Nanoha's vision as a few dozen pink spheres appear around her! "Shoot!" With a wave of her staff, those spheres are released, splitting off in different directions in an attempt to knock out as many Destroyer Robots as possible!+

Wyverncakes (03:48:02): [Yusuke and Nanoha] Yusuke plows through another Destroyer Robot, disposing it without much trouble... but from there, the BeatChaser just sorta gets stopped in midair by another binding spell... and one of the Destroyer Robot's lasers is sent swepping across to take you down!

Wyverncakes (03:50:26): [And Nanoha, derp] And more Destroyer Robots are felled! Fortunately you've had experience with this sort of thing before, and thanks to you, Roads, and everyone else pitching in their number's now a mere quarter of what it was at the start!
Aero (03:51:35): * "Well then if it's cold enough to stop Ithaqua then it's a perfect match against my Lemuria Impact." Again Demonbane forms the sphere of absolute heat and charges at Liber Legis with no fear.+
griefgathering (03:53:21): And Nanoha's Device confirms those kills, "Direct hits on targets. Enemy numbers are decreasing. Keep it up."
sketchbookfiend (03:53:56): *Kuuga decides to do what any sensible person would..."CHOU HENSHIN" he transforms into his blue Dragon form and leaps high off of the bike, Gouram however is going to stay and tank the hit, so Yusuke has a useful vehicle still once it gets knocked down. Gouram's a tough old ancient magical flying armor thing, IT CAN TAKE IT. The Rider however is going to attempt to land on another robot with his maneuvers.+
Wyverncakes (03:54:58): [Kurou and Dr. West] Liber Legis and Demonbane charge each other, like this is some kind of fabled mirror matchup due to happen over and over again! But there's one bonus Kurou has in his corner: the bomb thrown by Dr. West! The explosive strikes Liber Legis's back, knocking it off-balance and swaying to the side! And the two palm attacks near each other... before passing by like some kind of missed, un-bro-ly high five! The strikes are both near misses, with the left side of Demonbane's face and upper body nearly freezing solid... but the Lemuria Impact still strikes a bit truer!
Wyverncakes (03:55:38): The burning energy scorches through some of Liber Legis, quickly beginning to melt down its arm and torso!
Wyverncakes (03:56:00): Master Therion: "Tch... Doctor... you outdid yourself that time...!"
Wyverncakes (03:56:53): Liber Legis is still standing, but the damage it received is still plain to see!

Pieces that start to combine, with extra mechanical parts growing between them. The whole process is accompanied by lots of clanking noises and sparks flying around, and a larger shape is quickly forming...

tengusaur (05:00:28): The robot's helmet resembles Prometheus' head, but the face is much more human-like. There's not much of it visible though, between the pair of thick goggles on its eyes and a long scarf of green plasma around its neck, fluttering in the wind.

But not much, since Ideigi's limbs can be heard being snapped off in short order. Meanwhile Nanoha, your blast BLOWS through Claudius's attacks, straight at the machine... and also Ideigi's remains! "Heh... got you this time, bit-" The full-power blast then BLOWS through Ideigi though, with some of it still hitting Lord Byakhee. "What the... what the fuck?!?"
Wyverncakes (05:09:50): The Anticross machine is blown backwards, but Ideigi is pretty much totalled and got MUCH MUCH more of the brunt of it! Good thing Nanoha wasn't shooting to kill though!

Wyverncakes (05:18:43): [Logos Team and Kurou] Well, that huge pro-cross hacks through the remaining mooks in one go because I'm lazy, and Kurou's dakka shots also wreck those statues too! Roads, the damaging aura's gone now!
peter kampschroeder (05:18:50): *While the sound waves continue, Roads keeps the Zweilicht's arms up to offer a bit of shielding…and when Kurou's explosive fire support comes in, that light in his eyes turns into a full on crazy smile. "Right!" And Roads sticks the white hot end of his railgun, overheated from such rapid firing, into the burst from one of the Cthuga shots. This is the setup.

peter kampschroeder (05:21:28): The attack comes when Roads hurls the gun-now a molten spear-at Cykranosh, having just the arm of the Zweilicht flash move on the swing. That spear is now moving at a speed of 'fast', at a tempurature of 'hot', and carrying a kinetic energy of 'pow'. And as if that's not enough, Roads has the Zweilicht itself do a supersonic dash, putting all remaining power into speed-not to dodge, or to evade, but to deliver a kick to that spear as it flies, making the whole combination that much faster.+
sketchbookfiend (05:21:47): Kuuga drops the bowgun and swiftly grabs the handlekey out of the BeatChaser, and transforms to Titan form, the handlekey also transforming into the Titan Sword. He also gives the Gouram armor a friendly tap, sending a zap of energy through it to recover what damage it's taken- dislodging from the bike to fly around behind Yusuke.

The man is certainly startled by all of this and begins to try to my Cykranosh forward when Augustus calls out!

But now he's in punching range, striking at the damaged Demonbane! "HUUUUUUUURTS!"

Your own sword is blocked by one of Titus's own, but the other slashes into your side, cutting deep even through your armor as Titus moves past!

Wyverncakes (05:54:43): A good number of your machines are in terrible condition.
Wyverncakes (05:55:02): The death of Master Therion might've just made things HARDER on everyone now.
