tengusaur (01:09:57): We're helping out with all this mess that's been going on in Arkham lately. Including Cthulhu getting summoned and all that.
tengusaur (01:10:11): Needless to say, everyone is quite busy most of the time lately.
tengusaur (01:10:21): But what are you up to right now, in a quieter moment?
VJockey (01:10:51): Cora's slumped on the chalice, still in her suit with members of her team sitting around her.
Fri Freeman (01:11:23): Rock is cleaning Flutter's deck that's parked outside.
Fri Freeman (01:11:32): Hey, that's what he do for relaxing!
Aero (01:11:32): Madoka is helping to move some supplies in the hangar.
VJockey (01:11:37): Scythe was tending to her rifle, Dagger was leaning against the hangar wall half asleep and Oxide was tinkering with explosives.
Drascin (01:11:50): Pit is mostly carrying stuff around and helping with whatever he can. They had to make him leave medical, though, because apparently wounded people don't take well to angels suddenly appearing near them. They get the wrong impression
Overman Zappa (01:12:07): Joanne can hear Dice and Mongrol trying to bet amongst eachother which one could stare down Cthulhu longer without going mad. When she was asked, she'd have no part in dealing with such gross creatures.
Meraxa (01:12:39): Richard just sort of... hangs in the distance near the Dullahan team, now well enough after a near-lethal case of lasers. And a misunderstanding of Pit's intent. He still shows some signs of injury from his bandages, but he didn't feel like taking up wards that could be better used for others.
VJockey (01:13:47): Cora also heard the bet. She was now repeatedly bonking her head against her mechanical fist. She wished she didn't give up drinking.
Overman Zappa (01:14:17): But Jojo is glad she did! Dangit! Someone cares, yanno!
tengusaur (01:14:38): It's a pretty bright day, so it's hard not to notice that suddenly, the skies are going noticably darker...
Drascin (01:15:09): Pit: Uh. That's odd. I thought it was noon...
tengusaur (01:15:21): Anyone who looks straight up would notice a worrying sight...
Fri Freeman (01:15:25): Rock: "Oh no, I just cleaned the deck!"

Drascin (01:15:31): Palutena: ...what is THAT?!

tengusaur (01:16:31): Dozens of giant floating THINGS in the sky, each huge and the shape of a rough upside-down pyramid, flying many kilometers above the ground in formation.

Sleuth: "Guh, you two... right now? Seriously?"
VJockey (01:18:59): Scythe promptly took her time to walk over to the two idiots
VJockey (01:19:12): and smack them both over the head with a frosty glare.
Drascin (01:19:28): Palutena: Pit! I'm sending Cherubot to you. Get me a better look at those things. And be very careful.
VJockey (01:19:42): Scythe: "Shut up. Arm up. And get on the shuttle."
Drascin (01:19:49): Palutena: They are not from this world, and I have no idea what they are.
Pit: Roger!

VJockey (01:20:16): Cora: "Sleuth... is Scythe looking a little grumpy to you?"
Overman Zappa (01:20:18): Mongrel: "We weren't talkin about that agin! Somethin else this time!"
Sleuth: "How about I bet you two not make any more danm bets tha rest of the dang operation!
Drascin (01:20:27): (And with that, Cherubot falls of the sky as usual, and Pit gets in)
tengusaur (01:20:37): Large beams shoot from the center of a few of the floating islands, straight down below to the ground! But they don't burn anything...
Overman Zappa (01:20:37): Sleuth: "Not any more than usual around those two, ma'am. Not t'me anyway."
tengusaur (01:20:39): Instead...
tengusaur (01:20:57): They start to rip everything below them and tractor it up towards the islands!
tengusaur (01:21:05): Buildings, trees, even the very earh!
Fri Freeman (01:21:06): Rock: "What!"

Fri Freeman (01:21:26): Rock: "Uh oh, this looks bad..."
Aero (01:21:26): Madoka: "H-hey that's not a nice thing to do!"
Drascin (01:21:36): Palutena: They're...they're scouring the very earth!
tengusaur (01:21:50): The rest of them starts to slowly spread over the area! Another one, then yet another one, activate their tractor beams as well!
Overman Zappa (01:22:11): Sleuth: "Woah! They're just... yankin up errything!
Drascin (01:22:22): Pit: Okay, that settles it, those are certainly bad guys! Time to kick some butt! Everyone, follow me!
tengusaur (01:22:39): Ayame (radio): "Emergency! Everyone, I don't think I need to tell you what to do."
Meraxa (01:22:47): Richard... stays silent, partly to avoid alerting anyone to the fact he's making his way to the shuttle as well. They've got so much wrapped up in Arkham right now... he can't afford to stay out of this because of a few scrapes.
tengusaur (01:22:57): Dan: "Bad news! All the shuttles are currently inoperational!"
tengusaur (01:23:04): Ayame: "What?"
Meraxa (01:23:10): Richard: ...W-Wha...?
tengusaur (01:23:36): Dan: "All of them are either refuelling or were damaged in the battles in Arkham! ETA until one is ready: 3 hours!"
tengusaur (01:23:43): Ayame: "We can't wait that long."
Fri Freeman (01:24:03): Rock: "We can take the flutter!"
Drascin (01:24:22): Pit: We don't HAVE three hours! I'm going in alone if I have to!
Palutena: Don't be rash, Pit! You can't take that many down on your own!

And before Mongrel chimes in, Sleuth whacks him upside the back of the helmet. "No time fer that ya crazies!

Fri Freeman (01:25:43): Rock: "Roll! Is the Flutter ready?"
Fri Freeman (01:25:50): Roll: "Anytime, Rock!"

Fri Freeman (01:26:12): Rock: "H..hey... it's our home..." Rock replies to Sleuth
Drascin (01:26:21): Pit: On it! Aerial units, form on my tail!
Palutena: We're going to find out what these things are!
Meraxa (01:26:23): Richard rushes to the digger ship then. He'll... figure out something later, right.
Fri Freeman (01:26:25): Rock: "Sure it crashes all the time... but..."
VJockey (01:26:30): Dagger: "...This is going to be another one of those days..."
Aero (01:26:40): Madoka tosses off her Jersey to reveal the pilot suit underneath. "Alright lets go!"
Fri Freeman (01:26:41): Rock: "Anyway, let's go!"
Aero (01:26:50): She'll make her way to Midori and launch soon after.
VJockey (01:26:56): Cora just slaps her second in command on the shoulder and motions to the rest of the team to board the Flutter.
tengusaur (01:29:08): Cherubot, Vox Aura, and Flutter (with lots of people on board) take off towards the enemy fleet! Some allied units are launching too, with more to follow soon, but we're not focusing on those...
Aero (01:29:44): Madoka: "Uah...should we only be sending two robots to do this?"
tengusaur (01:30:26): As you get closer to the flying islands, or perhaps ships is a better word, you can see a lot of tiny dots swarming around them. Everything here moves in a very coordinated manner, as if trying to harvest the planet as quick as they can...
tengusaur (01:30:56): Ayame: "We're spreading our forces in order to take on their whole fleet. The rest of them will attack different targets than you."
Meraxa (01:30:57): Richard: I'll... be able to summon Ideigi. I think. Just need something to fight ON.
Drascin (01:31:01): Palutena: It's... kinda like a giant bee swarm.
Fri Freeman (01:31:12): Rock is standing on flutter's top deck, surveying the destruction
Overman Zappa (01:31:18): Sleuth: "Oi, we can fight too, yanno! Thas why there's a lotta us! More guns means more things blowin up!"

Drascin (01:44:47): Pit: Kinda busy here, Richard! What is it?!
Aero (01:45:15): * "Lets go Midori!" The Vox charged forward into the crowd Tribyte, swinging her energy sword at every one that she passed.+
Meraxa (01:45:31): Richard: Big white one! If its got no defenses on top, it'd be convenient for... you know...
Meraxa (01:45:43): Richard: So I need someone to check!
Drascin (01:46:06): *And Pit is going to be Pit, as always, and leave the mopping the tiny enemies to everyone else, instead focusing on the huge Dohz before it keeps spewing more enemies! He gets right under the thing and starts strafing it with rounds of rapid cannon fire!+
Drascin (01:46:47): Pit: And you couldn't have mentioned before I hit the thrusters downward?! (Pit calls from his position below the enemy)
tengusaur (01:46:48): Madoka destroys several of those things with each swing! Almost a dozen of them explodes in mid-air from her attack! But the rest of the Tribytes flies around her with weird, jerky movements, then they open up and fire one beam each at her! (react)
Meraxa (01:47:11): Richard: You flew too fast!
tengusaur (01:48:19): Pit destroys the tube at the bottom of the giant ufo-like enemy just when another Tribyte was escaping from it! The Dohz is damaged, and focuses on him now... It shoots three large, homing energy balls towards the Cherubot! (react)
Fri Freeman (01:48:19): Rock armor's left hand then unfold into a missile launcher as Flutter flies toward the enemies, and he launches a barrage of fast, small homing missiles toward the Tribytes.+

Drascin (01:49:20): Pit: Oh no you don't!
Meraxa (01:49:41): Richard: Gonna have to try anyway... Somebody throw me please!
Aero (01:49:45): * "Ah shield shield shield where was that button." The subspace shield of the machine is raised at the last moment to block the beams. +
Drascin (01:50:09): *And he's going to burst backwards to try and get the three balls to converge a bit on pursuing him... and then give them a punch back with his reflector ball!+
tengusaur (01:50:59): Rock's missiles further thin out the swarm of Tribytes! There's only something like 10 left of them now! But watch out, there are still Claxises, their bodies rotating in very strange ways... Several of them fire lasers at Rock and the Flutter from their eye-like laser guns! (react)
Overman Zappa (01:51:02): Sleuth: "I gotta bet for ya. How long can ya do what I tell ya. Winner can see me inna bikini..." She rolls her eyes as she starts laying out machine gun fire from her own pair of SMG's. Dice and Mongrel start to shoot in, pondering the bet while they all focus on one of them Claxis doo-dads.

tengusaur (01:52:26): Madoka manages to block the attacks coming from the thinned-out Tribytes without suffering any damage! Her energy reserves, however, take a bit of a hit from that.
VJockey (01:52:50): *Cora motioned to the Tribytes, opening fire with gatling guns while Oxide sent rockets into the fray and Dagger kept a steady stream of flak. As for Scythe? She was pulling off some pinpoint shooting, any time something got bogged down by one of the others, she'd attempt a killshot.+
tengusaur (01:53:40): All the Tribytes in near vicinity are destroyed by your combined attack! However, more enemies are still here...
Fri Freeman (01:53:45): Roll: "Everyone! Hold tight! Flutter isn't very agile!" Roll tries his best to fly away from the lasers, while Rock tumbles sideways to dodge the ones aimed directly at him+
griefgathering (01:53:59): *Suddenly, a cluster of missiles approaches one of the Dohz! The Nep-Jet is now zooming up from below, albeit late to the party!+
tengusaur (01:54:58): Pit reflects the energy balls! However, only one of them hits the ufo, because it dodges the other two to the side with a fast, jerky move! It's almost like a space invader in an oldschool video game...
Drascin (01:55:04): Pit: Neptune! You're late!
griefgathering (01:55:25): Neptune: "Sorry, everyone! Don't worry though, I've been reading everything that happened so far!"
Overman Zappa (01:55:44): Sleuth: "Reading?"
Meraxa (01:56:05): Richard: Whoa! *Richard has to clutch a railing, deciding that maybe tossing can wait a bit. Instead, he'll aim for a Claxis with a solar punch at his own size!+
Drascin (01:56:18): Palutena: Better late than never, anyway.
Overman Zappa (01:57:16): Dice: "Sorry kid, no time for bettin right now! You just worry 'bout tagging them."
Mongrel: "I dunno...I think I could still get more kills than you."
Sleuth: "NOT NOW! SERIOUSLY!"
tengusaur (01:57:18): Sleuth and company destroy two of the Claxises, while Richard's solar attack punches a hole through another one and slightly burns one more! Neptune's missiles explode on the Dohz's surface, damaging it thoroughly!
tengusaur (01:57:23): However...
tengusaur (01:58:08): Everyone on board of the Flutter, as well as the Nep-Jet, find themselves targets of more lasers fired by the strange spinning Claxises! Each one fires three shots in sequence!
tengusaur (01:58:15): And to make it worse, more Tribytes are incoming!
tengusaur (01:58:26): (Cora, Joanne, Richard, Neppu react)
Drascin (01:58:47): Palutena: I think I'm starting to understand these creatures a bit. They're like... a hive. I don't think each individual enemy is actually alive
tengusaur (01:59:12): A few lasers still hit the Flutter, leaving burn marks on its armor and shaking the whole ship!
Aero (01:59:13): Madoka: "So they actually are like bees then?"
griefgathering (01:59:18): Neptune: "So this is another one of those 'take out the queen' things, right?"
tengusaur (01:59:24): Luckily Rock rolls out of the way safely. Rock rolls. Yeah.
Meraxa (03:00:00): Richard ducks for cover, a flesh meatbag thats rather exposed. At least the others have armour.+
Overman Zappa (03:00:48): *The trio break up, trying to move about the deck without being tagged. Fortunately Sleuth can easily dodge faster than the heavier two. But hopefully size is on all of their sides.
griefgathering (03:00:50): *And Neptune temporarily reverts to human form! Why? Because she'll use her sword and some ice magic to try to deflect those lasers as they follow her down!+
Fri Freeman (03:01:16): Roll: "I'll try my best to dodge the shots, but flutter isn't very agile, so try your best to not getting shot, everyone!"
Meraxa (03:01:53): Richard: I need to get off this thing... Isn't there anywhere I can land on?!
Drascin (03:01:56): Pit: What I'm not sure if how we're going to destroy these things, though. Anyone brought some really big bombs?
VJockey (03:02:19): *The team scattered and hit the Deck....Cora though? She practically fell off the Flutter before managing to hook her grapple up to it... she was now dangling off the ship and saying several.... unladylike things.+
VJockey (03:02:30): *fell off while trying to dodge
Meraxa (03:03:12): Richard: ...And someone should help Cora up...
tengusaur (03:03:17): The crew manages to dodge the beams as if they were playing expert laser tag! Only here the lasers are real... And you have a Cora dangling off the edge of the ship now and going to fall very soon!
tengusaur (03:03:34): The Dohz gets ready to fire more energy balls!
tengusaur (03:03:41): And more small enemies are incoming!
tengusaur (03:04:02): But suddenly, a lot of them explode and the ufo shakes and shatters as they're attacked by a new force!
Meraxa (03:04:16): Richard: ...R-Reinforcements?!
tengusaur (03:04:31): Lots of flying plant-like creatures, some resembling leaves, other flowers, other acorns, all of them having a single yellow eye...
tengusaur (03:04:46): They engage the alien invaders in battle!
Drascin (03:04:51): Pit: ...are those Forces of Nature?
tengusaur (03:05:20): Viridi: "Don't get the wrong idea, Pit. I'm not doing this because I want to help you or anything!"
Drascin (03:05:39): Palutena: It's not that surprising. I guess these alien locusts are even worse to Viridi
tengusaur (03:05:52): Maxene (radio): "Aurum."
Meraxa (03:06:04): Richard: ...Aura-wha?
tengusaur (03:06:15): Maxene: "They're called the Aurum."
Drascin (03:06:16): Pit and Palutena, together: Aurum?
tengusaur (03:06:59): (backdated, sorry) And Neptune manages to reflect back some of these shots back at the attackers!

Overman Zappa (03:07:33): Sleuth bee-lines it to go pull Cora up from the side of the ship "C'mon momma bear! DOn't fall!"
Meraxa (03:07:37): Richard: ...And you know this... why?
VJockey (03:07:37): Cora: "That's what I said."

tengusaur (03:41:27): Good news: between Pit's punch, Neptune's sword and the shots coming from Cora's team, all the Quoils are destroyed!
tengusaur (03:41:49): Bad news: Both Pit and Neppu are hit by one Quoil each, and are not spinning rapidly!

tengusaur (03:46:29): Lots of energy balls going in your directions! Furthermore, some of them grow heat-red and are about to explode!

VJockey (03:47:47): *With that the team was now rapidly using both grapples and boosters to their advantage - given the layout of the terrain, getting away from the blasts shouldn't be.... TOO problematic with the downright frantic manuevers.+
Meraxa (03:48:20): Richard: Shi-! *Richard tries to block some of the balls with his shield, whilst see if he can trigger the others early with a fling of Ideigi's cape!+
Overman Zappa (03:48:23): *Rather than charge on through, Sleuth fires a grappling line into a building and guns it, rolling right up and along the building before trying to crash through a window. The other boys just dump fire into the assailants while splitting to either side of the path
griefgathering (03:49:09): *Not much Neptune can do here but try to cut those up while she's still spinning! Like a bladed top!+
tengusaur (03:49:54): Richard and Neptune manage to reflect back the normal balls back at the Biotas - combined with cover fire from Sleuth's friends, that destroys two of them!
tengusaur (03:50:24): The explosive ones still explode nearby, though, damaging Ideigi somewhat (but as a tank it can take it) and eating up some of Neptune's HP.
tengusaur (03:50:50): Sleuth, Cora and company manage to get out of this with only minor damage to their armor though! Good that there are no giants nearby...

tengusaur (02:09:17): The bird cannot dodge everything that's flying towards it, and several of Rock's shots hit and damage it!

Drascin (02:10:41): *Cherubot is not really quick enough to dodge something like this. It is, however, really tanky. So Pit tries to block as best as he can and then make use of the close distance to do two things. One: shoulder-check the two beasts near each other. Two: ROCKET BALL+
tengusaur (02:11:20): "Such straightforward attack..." Vientor raises its hand, creating a powerful hurricane of cutting wind to counter Richard's attack and cut into Ideigi itself! Both projectiles collide! (react/continue)
Aero (02:11:31): * And in midair she transforms back into warrior mode. Midori then drives it's left foot into the neck of the bird to stop it from getting any close to her. She then slams other foot into the head of the thunderbird, performing a nice clean Enzuigiri.+
tengusaur (02:12:49): The first cassowary's attack leaves some deep, nasty gashes in Cherubot's armor!
Meraxa (02:13:05): Richard: Sometimes, straightforward works! *And in this case, it provides Richard some cover, as he darts forward, before firing up a-* SOLAR PUNCH! *-from beneath the Demon King!+
Fri Freeman (02:13:30): Rock skates underneath the electric-bird, trying to use the bird as a shield against the laser attacks+
tengusaur (02:13:41): The second cassowary doesn't give a crap and its lightning just zaps Midori all over, making some of its systems go crazy! Madoka is somewhat zapped too!
tengusaur (02:13:42): But...
tengusaur (02:14:09): The two horrible creatures are smashes together with powerful melee strikes!
tengusaur (02:14:22): And then they're attacked by Pit and Madoka from opposite directions!
tengusaur (02:14:55): The attacks pierce through their bodies and meet each other, resulting in a huge explosion of thunder!
tengusaur (02:15:02): Two cassowaries are done for.
tengusaur (02:15:34): The third one, angry that it's used as a human (well, bird) shield, zaps several of the Tribytes with thunder and then flies away!
tengusaur (02:15:54): (Cora, Joanne)
tengusaur (02:16:36): The blade wind further damages Ideigi, leaving many thin gashes on its armor! But that's nothing serious...
tengusaur (02:17:22): And Vientor is hit straight-on with the burning solar rocket punch! The bird monster is sent stumbling backwards, but quickly recovers, landing on your way to the core.
VJockey (02:17:42): *Cora's team for the most part is letting loose on the Tribytes, doing their best to suppress them. Note the 'most part'. While Cora was barking out orders and vectors of fire, Scythe was keeping a bead on Vientor... and fires a shot at its head+

tengusaur (02:18:00): Vientor: "Think you can win an attrition war with the wind...?"
Meraxa (02:19:21): Richard: I've beaten two of your kind so far... I'll make you the third!
tengusaur (02:20:22): From the smoke and fire of the explosion, the two cassowaries suddenly raise, screeching angrily! It's like a phoenix from the flames, only, you know, horrible.
tengusaur (02:20:56): But before they get to do anything, the four Inafunes are flying straight into their direction and piercing through them like drills!
tengusaur (02:21:39): The birds seem to be too confused to dodge this attack, though they try to scratch some of the Inafunes. Despite them getting bloodied, their expression and pose do not change.
Drascin (02:22:02): Palutena: Pretty sure that exactly what we intend to do, yes.
Pit: Yeah, bad guys always talk tough, but you always end up destroyed!
tengusaur (02:22:17): And then the birds, with huge see-through holes in their bodies, explode into thunder again! This time there's no smoke, and they're apparently done for good.

With her other arm Madoka turns off her energy saber for a split second before activating it again and trying to cut through the gaudy Gundam. This small trick would let her get past the enemies beam saber hopefully.+

And so while Vientor is distracted trying to overwhelm Richard, he's going to find eight dozen tons of robot at three hundred fifty kilometers per hour coming at him from the side, first first!+
tengusaur (02:57:31): Madoka rushes at the last enemy Gundam... But suddenly, the beam saber turns in her hand! It's a small Aurum, and it tries to cut into her instead! (react/continue)
Aero (02:58:22): * "AHH." Well then she'll use her patented AURUM FINGER and slam the thing into the Gundam. +
tengusaur (03:00:43): Vientor notices Pit's charge from the side too late, and while he tries to dodge, it still hits him pretty strong, pushing him back! The demon king looks rather wounded now... But he swings his claw towards Cherubot, sending a gust of cutting wind! (react)

tengusaur (03:02:35): The Aurum Saber is smashed into the Strike Freedom's head, annihilating it! The head, that is... But the rest of the Gundam still moves, and it raises a beam gun, firiing a multi-colored toothpaste-like beam straight at Midori! (react)

Meraxa (03:14:46): Richard: Paladin... *Richard himself appears to unleash his own vortex, reacting to what happened to the team. The swirling winds try to contain Vientor, as Ideigi is suddenly driven forward! The edge of its blade coated to reach an almost impossibly sharp cut, he swings-!* STRRRRRRRRRRIKE!+
tengusaur (03:15:18): "...Begone, pests. As for you..." Vientor raises his hand towards Ideigi, trying to attack Richard with cutting wind as well. But Ideigi is already rushing at him!
griefgathering (03:15:34): *Neptune suddenly summons her sword's scabbard and...sheathes her weapon? "I'm not as good as this as Sam is, but it's worth a shot!" Said scabbard is then imbued with magic while the flame screen serves as a brief distraction. When it's fully charged, the tiny goddess darts forward and releases the blade, which is launched out of its sheath, and swings at the energy balls! "Deyaaah!!"+
VJockey (03:16:55): Cora: "Ugh... everyone alright? Dagger? Oxide?"
VJockey (03:17:01): She got two affirmatives.

VJockey (03:17:51): A sharp intake of breath and a repeated pinging over the comms. Vitals were still fine but she was getting nothing...
tengusaur (03:18:45): Neptune reflects the energy balls with even greater force than they were shot, making them fly back at the monoliths with great speed and blow them up violently!
tengusaur (03:19:45): As for Richard... His super-sharp strike cuts through Vientor's razor wind! With no place to escape to, the demon king can only stand there as he receives a devastating gash all across the body, which splashes black blood all over the nearby surroundings!
tengusaur (03:20:00): Vientor collapses! He's ready for sealing!
tengusaur (03:20:16): And almost all the Aurum are destroyed, making your way to the core clear!

Meraxa (03:21:04): Richard manages to stop Ideigi not far from the edge of the island, briefly turning his attentions elsewhere, knowing Vientor will take a moment to decay down to his bare essence.

Drascin (03:40:17): And there goes the third spell - Mega Laser. A hugenormous beam fires right through the cassowary's chest, ripping the bird right through

Drascin (03:40:29): But that was apparently enough
tengusaur (03:41:07): The giant laser burns through the thunder cassowary's chest, leaving a hole in it!
tengusaur (03:41:16): But what remains of it entangles itself with Cherubot!
Drascin (03:41:33): Palutena: ...no. Sorry.
tengusaur (03:41:43): And when Pit manages to throw it off a few seconds later, contact with Richard is already cut off.
Drascin (03:42:04): Pit spins on himself and throws the corpse right at one of the passing, disoriented Aurum in frustration
tengusaur (03:42:46): Everyone who's on the Aurum island should probably get off it, because it starts to fall apart!
tengusaur (03:43:03): Fortunately you still have the Flutter, remember? It's nearby,

tengusaur (03:43:28): And, good news, the other Aurum stopped their attack the moment the core was destroyed. And now, slowly, they start to ascend, returning to wherever they came from!
