aldo salt (02:32:46): Matthew has a new waist scarf that he's added to his uniform, it's two loose ends fluttering in the wind as he glares at the incoming threat, arms folded. A crimson scarf, naturally.

aldo salt (02:33:07): "So the messenger of doom has come at last…" He says softly.
Drascin (02:33:10): Pit is cooking happily in his newfound kitchen at this moment
tengusaur (02:33:22): Dan: "Dimensional rift detected! A huge object just appeared on Earth's orbit!"

tengusaur (02:38:17): A moon-sized object, no, even bigger than the Moon. Dark blue and glistening, covered in some kind of golden force field made of triangular segments.
aldo salt (02:38:26): He opens a comm channel to Simon. "Are you ready?" He asks simply.
tengusaur (02:38:41): It's surrounded by lots of units.
tengusaur (02:39:08): Blue ships, angular and covered in clusters of crystals, no two alike. A haphazard fleet.
Overman Zappa (02:39:12): Simon: "It doesn't matter if I'm ready or not. I've gotta move." He storms off to the Gurren lagann, having the head piece and helmet close around him.

Overman Zappa (02:41:49): Simon: "Mugann... Guys, the moon normally doesn't do that, right? Why is it doing that. It's moving.."
tengusaur (02:41:50): Dan: "Bian Zoldark's alliance, mostly. But other organizations are mobilizing their forces independently."
VJockey (02:43:29): "You'd have to pay me with a planet to go first at all of those."

tengusaur (02:46:46): The huge ships seem to mostly ignore you as they approach, but there's a whole swarm of smaller units buzzing between them!
tengusaur (02:47:11): Even with all the White Chalice units, you're vastly outnumbered.
tengusaur (02:47:46): Luckily, you're not alone... You can see Lions and other Divine Crusaders machines engaging the enemies from one side, and Federation mobile suits from the other!

tengusaur (02:56:45): However, suddenly a large group of plant-like, single-eyed creatures flies towards the enemy forces, engaging them with melee and energy projectiles! This helps to take off some heat off those of you who are attacked, as well!

aldo salt (02:57:07): *"Careful, Cherubim!" Matthew shouts, targeting the Tribytes going towards Pit with a–"Nova Burst!"+
Drascin (02:57:12): *Things Cherubot isn't: very fast. Things Cherubot is: real tough. So Pit is going to spin on himself to present his back to them (in order to protect the cockpit) and take most of the shots even as he dives out of the way+
Drascin (02:57:40): Pit: "Are those the forces of Nature?"
tengusaur (02:57:51): Lan dodges most of the enemies, but one of the Quoils still hits her, making Orca spin rapidly!
Overman Zappa (02:58:20): *Simon looks to quickly thin out their numbers, by drawing the Gurren Lagann's arms and legs in. Ports start glowing green before opening to reveal drills. Dozens of drills! With a shout, he lets loose, letting drills fly out for meters, impaling anything he can get those grubby spikes on! +

tengusaur (03:02:23): Simon's drills pierce through many of the incoming enemies, with no preference for target - he destroys both Aurum and Mugann forces, several of each type! But now the enemies notice Gurren Lagann and fire a ridiculous amount of lasers towards it!
aldo salt (03:02:53): "High Captain!" Matthew exclaims. "It seems you outrank me! Do you have any orders–Stravag! Simon!"

tengusaur (03:03:13): Between Ryou's shot and Matthew's defensive fire, the numbers of Tribytes are getting even lower! There's only something like a dozen left of those!

Drascin (03:19:22): Pit: "Who cares! The thing is that we have to get through! So let's get through! ORYAAAA!"
tengusaur (03:19:29): Lan's shots take off the pipes off two of the Dohzes, damaging them. This turned out to be a good idea, because the other three Dohzes deploy half a dozen Tribytes towards her, which open and fire beams at Orca! (react)

tengusaur (03:22:31): Madoka cleaves through several of the red Mugann soldiers, and their leader, but the big blue open tries to close around her, its many segments spinning! It has lasers on the inside, and will not hesitate to use them! (react)

Overman Zappa (03:25:03): *Simon makes a bee-line for the larger, blue Kyoumugann. He figures the smaller section on top is it's main body, and while ignoring lesser foes, he charges up a drill about the size of his own body, and jets off for the (let's call it a core). "Get away from our planet!"

tengusaur (03:26:39): Lan shoots down a few of the Tribytes, but even with the subspace energy shield, Orca is still shaken violently by the energy blasts!
Drascin (03:26:55): *Pit doesn't have a lot of chance to dodge. But what he does have is the wreck of the other Dohzes. Which he grabs with cherubot and uses to bat the ramming Quoils into the line of fire so they take a bunch of the shots!+

He pours on the velocity towards the mothership, attracting more energy balls that follow behind in a flock! He fires his lasers at the enemy in what looks like a suicidal charge! (&)

...and with that, suddenly there's a flash of energy and a large meteor of solidified light comes out of fucking nowhere, like a monstruous annihilating railgun from Heaven, hitting the Mugann's upper body with the combined force of a divine smite and a solid body approaching lightspeed!+

tengusaur (04:17:35): This combined Mugann is tough! And it's turning its attention towards Arc Gurren Lagann now, trying to block its way towards the moon and get ready to strike!

Overman Zappa (04:19:43): *Slowly, with arms folded, the Arc Gurren Lagann starts drifting toward the combned Mugann. "Oh no you're not. Rossiu, give me everything you can!" Even with him at the combat controls, he still respects it's Rossiu's ship. AGL starts to accelerate and draw a huge fist back, which quickly becomes a signature drill. "PUNCH IT!" Though that's more of a sign to fire all thrusters and crash that huge drill right into it+

VJockey (04:44:54): "Yeah.." [Ryou's gonna lock himself onto those - once there's a link between him and the Arc Gurren? The Power Gauge on Ryou's AC breaks. The railgun on the AC's back falls over its shoulder and charges up with ridiculous amounts of energy at insane speeds!]
aldo salt (04:47:53): "Target Lock!" Matthew declares, disengaging the safeties on his lasers. "Now, Rossiu, Ryou! Whether Gods or Insects, we will break through all your barriers!"

Matthew will probably NEVER let him live this down .... He pulls the trigger - the energy charged projectile literally exploding from the barrel and drilling into the targetted point!

aldo salt (05:14:43): Matthew maneuvers to the sides, and fires several lasers at the remaining Baglos! "Not so, Ryou! Besides my medium extended-range lasers, I also have my–"
tengusaur (05:14:58): Simon strikes into the brain, but the attack only makes it get dim for a very short moment! And the Baglos target the Gurren Lagann, firing rapid energy shots at it! (react)
VJockey (05:15:13): *Ryou's going to throw his AC to the side as much as he can AWAY from the gigantic laser and latch onto the spinning ring, abandoning his laser rifle in the process and proceed to cut into what was currently taking him on a very crazy ride+

tengusaur (05:17:07): Ryou manages to avoid the main brunt of the beam, though it's getting really hot now! And now he's spinning around crazily, trying to desperately stab into the brain over and over!

tengusaur (05:18:20): Matthew cuts straight through one of the Baglos, wrecking it! But only one... They really are tough!

The Ovid charges at the Sios, and Lan slashes up - which is followed by another angular strike to the side, then down, to cut them into neat, easier to deal with pieces.+
aldo salt (05:23:05): *Thinking quickly, Matthew stabs one of his wayward Heat Falcons into the wrecked Baglo! Then, firing all his jumpjets at maximum burn, he flies upwards, and then in a curved trajectory, as he swings around the damaged Baglo like a moon around a planet! Then…using his momentum, he swings the damaged Baglo towards the offending Sio like a flail! "Yaaaaaaaahhh!"+
tengusaur (05:24:13): Between Matthew using a Baglo as an improvised weapon and Lan using a subspace energy blade as a real weapon, the Sios are completely wrecked! Only the brain and two Baglos remain!

Drascin (05:25:43): *And with that, Pit rushes towards the Brain, dodging fire. He doesn't smash straight into the core. Instead, he stops at the outside rings, who are spinning like crazy, and lands on one, letting himself be spun round and round!
Pit: "WHOOOaaaaaOOOOaaaaOOOOAAAA!"
And when he's grabbed enough momentum from latching at the ring, he shoots his hook chain at the other ring, which is going in the opposite direction, and grabbing to it! This has two effects - one, it pulls the ring together so they crash into each other! And two - the sudden change swerve basically catapults Pit against the core with more force than the Cherubot's thrusters could ever hope to put out!+

Overman Zappa (05:30:56): *Simon launches the shade boomerangs, but with no intent on directly retrieving them. Rather, he primes his drill hand once again, and after Ryou's shot at the brain, he charges in, once more going in for the kill shot.
Fri Freeman (05:31:32): Herb: "Okay, take care of the brain then, I'll bat the rest away!" Herb creates a giant baseball bat and swings it at enemies who are closing toward people who are attacking the brain.+

tengusaur (05:34:13): The Aurum explodes on the surface of the brain, damaging it and making it shake!
tengusaur (05:34:22): Also Matthew dodges the few shots that were headed at him.
aldo salt (05:34:24): "Intriguing technique, Herb!" Matthew says, a bit relieved.
aldo salt (05:34:45): He retracts his Heat Falcons, and starts radiating that excess heat away.
tengusaur (05:35:00): What else smashes into the brain? Cherubot, with full force resulting from that daring maneuver!
tengusaur (05:35:12): And Gurren Lagann's drill!
Fri Freeman (05:35:38): Herb: "Thank you. I totally meant it, honest."
tengusaur (05:35:39): And a beam shot from Ryou's gun, at point blank and no way to dodge!

tengusaur (05:47:43): Outside, the moon changes as well. Parts of it fall off and disintegrate, and the whole thing turns out to be a gigantic spaceship, hidden underneath layers of rock and Aurum metal!
