OvermanZs1: Today, after at least a good 36 hours in Fanelia, it's time for the
Prince's coronation as King of Fanelia. How many of you actually knew Van was
royalty? The small kingdom is all but shut down at the moment, while atop near
the castle the ceremony takes place.
OvermanZs1: You guys, are already gathered about in the crowd cuz... it's not
every day you get to witness this
OvermanZs1: (you may banter)
ShaunGarin: Click goes Tsukasa's camera.
UltimateSalsa: A certain purple-haired girl Arika might recognize as Queen
Mashiro Blan de Windbloom is sitting in what is obviously a royalty section,
looking as bored as she can get away with while not getting in trouble for it.

souvenir while I'm here.
Dessa-chan: Arika, of course, is right next to Mashiro, looking quite unhappy
at having to be next to her, athough she's actually somewhat interested in the
coronation.
griefgathering: Nanoha's in the crowd somewhere, staying close to Fate. Pretty
dangerous for little girls to go around alone, right?

bringing her down to the town.

shining in her eyes.
OvermanZs1: Some Royal Priestly guy raises his arms... and the entirety of the
crowd goes silent. What control!
greenmorningstar: Hitomi is watching the proceedings, still wondering vaguely
how she came to be in such a situation.

OvermanZs1: Van is escorted out in some fancy garb. Very fancy! Too bad most
of you are too far to see it

ShaunGarin: Tsukasa: *thinks* Should have brought a zoom lens.
EricOverbringer: Van also looks like this fancy garb would fit him better if he
were about a foot taller
OvermanZs1: After many semantics that weren't even put on screen for me to
script, a sword is brought to the Priest's hand.
EricOverbringer: And like he knows this
OvermanZs1: Royal Priestly guy: "Van Fanel, King of Fanelia. I bestow upon thee
this sword as proof of thy accession."
OvermanZs1: [Van!] Now rise, and take that sword!
EricOverbringer: Van rises!
EricOverbringer: And accepts the sword of Fanelia
OvermanZs1: [Everyone] Van is coronated (cheer)

EricOverbringer: Van sighs inwardly and starts mentally organizing the speech
he's supposed to give about hte prosperity of Fanelia
OvermanZs1: [Hitomi] You get one of those newtype pings that isn't for newtypes
but for seers. It's the Death card. (and being that I do know a little actual
tarot, this doesn't mean change)
OvermanZs1: Guard 23: Yeah I'm... hmm? Heat waves?
Guard 48: What's that now? UWAGH! (React Guard 4- Oh, nevermind, just be dead
with your buddy.)

OvermanZs1: From afar, since many of you are not busy being coronated, you can
see smoke coming from the kingdom's gates. Unfortunately, you see ONLY that.
OvermanZs1: People among the crowd are wondering about fires and...
earthquakes... Nobody knows what's going on at all... Cue level 1 panic among
the crowd
EricOverbringer: Oh good, an excuse not to give a speech...
EricOverbringer: wait...
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate: This doesn't look even remotely good.
ShaunGarin: Tsukasa holds onto the handlebars of the Machine Decader he's
leaning against to keep rabble from running into it.

UltimateSalsa: Mashiro can certainly see the smoke from her surprisingly
unobstructed location. "Oh come on! It's not even MY coronation! Why all the
commotion?"

can't do anything from here!
Dessa-chan: Arika's looking around, trying to push Mashiro behind her. "Be
careful, Mashiro!"

trampled by the crowd
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro opens her mouth to argue, but thinks better of it. "All
right. Let's go."

EricOverbringer: Van: "Enemy attack!? Who would be attacking us!?"
griefgathering: Good thing Nanoha acted early, she's already on the move with
Fate.
Herc061881: Yoshika: ...I don't have my Striker Unit! *she's relieved her pin is
safe*
Dessa-chan: Philip: *from the ship, to Shoutaro* "Shoutaro, wait. Yoshika needs
her Strikers. And I think I have something that'll help."
ShaunGarin: Clearly the point is to make a little berth around himself, so
Tsukasa gets onto the Machine Decader and REVS the cycle engine to make room
around him.
Dessa-chan: Philip: "Come back to the ship, I'll meet you in the hangar."
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate is moving as fast as she can while keeping close to
Nanoha, just in case.

on Hard Boilder] Come on!

Herc061881: Yoshika: ...! *blushes, but hangs on*
OvermanZs1: The big problem with this "enemy attack" is that there's nothing
visible attacking you. Nothing visible
OvermanZs1: And yet something is certainly destroying parts of the town that are
some distance away from you.
Dessa-chan: Philip, meanwhile, is running to the hangar, a blue object in his
hand. When he gets there, he tells whomever is there to get Yoshika's Striker
Unit ready.
OvermanZs1: VAN! However, guards and the like are quite ushering you into the
castle for protection. Balgus is barking out orders to the guards, and is quite
nearby.
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "Lord Van, I want you to take your guest, Lady Hitomi, to
the shrine."
EricOverbringer: Van: "For Escaflowne?"
OvermanZs1: The confusion escilates as several guards at civvie level are
suddenly flat and bloody!
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "If it becomes necessary, take Escaflowne and flee." With a
mighty shove, he pushes you along Van. As guards line up between you and him,
Balgus draws a cloth away from his mighty sword.
EricOverbringer: Van hesitates, then grabs Hitomi's hand, "Come on, we need to
go!"
OvermanZs1: FINALLY! A sign of something... an ARM emerges from behind an
invisible curtain and points itself into the crowd. From the hand, three
massive spikes plunge into the populous.
Finally, a sign of your foe!
ShaunGarin: Tsukasa: Tch. Looks like we've got big fish today.
OvermanZs1: (Enemies: ??? x? OMGWTFBBQ)
(Initative: Nanoha, Fate, Tsukasa, Arika)
greenmorningstar: "R-right!" Hitomi follows, though she throws the occasional
look back in an attempt to see what's going on.

OvermanZs1: (Nanoha, Fate: ACTION...?)
griefgathering: No longer in danger of being trampled by the crowd, Nanoha looks
at Fate. They can see the enemy now, so there's only one thing to do!
OvermanZs1: The mystery enemy retracts it's claws and, the arm is gone again!
Yet chaos continues to proceed
griefgathering: Nanoha: Raising Heart, Set Up!
griefgathering: 'Stand By Ready'
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate: Bardiche, Set Up!
OvermanZs1: Balgus stares onto the battlefield that is his kingdom he so
protects. The look on his grizzled face says one thing;
"come at me bro".
TenebraeLunaXIII: [Yes, Sire.]
griefgathering: However by the time Nanoha's done, the enemy is gone again.
There is a trick she can pull off though.
griefgathering: Nanoha: Area Search.
OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] Your spell produces results. There's one "something"
within 20 meters of you, and two more within 50.
griefgathering: *An orb is launched from Raising Heart's tip and begins to scan
the immediate area for disturbances, while Nanoha prepares to strike&
OvermanZs1: [Well, you have your results, continue, Nanoha]
griefgathering: (Do I get a continue?)
griefgathering: (Alright)
griefgathering: *Having detected the enemy, Nanoha goes straight to attacking,
trying her best to make sure she doesn't hit any civvies nearby. Cue four Divine
Spheres screaming toward the inviso-thingies!+
griefgathering: Nanoha: Shooot-o!

OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] Two of the spheres go wide, hitting nothing and whizzing
off beyond. The third hits something, causing a rippling in the light, while
the fourth causes the ground to quake shortly after. There's a bigger ripple in
the light as something is much much more aparently there!
OvermanZs1: (Fate, support attack)
griefgathering: Nanoha: A robot?!
griefgathering: Clearly she needs to bring out the big guns after this.
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate sees where Nanoha is launching her attack and launces
Haken Slash to throw two scythe blades.
OvermanZs1: Elsewhere, unrelated to anyone in combat, FIRE! Fire from
nowhere... (sort of) as a few houses are set ablaze!
TenebraeLunaXIII: +
OvermanZs1: [Fate] A smaller quake as the stone walkway breaks. The added bonus
of a slashing attack is that whatever was cloaking this machine is sliced! It
takes an arm along as well, but now it's far more aparent what we're dealing
with

ShaunGarin: *"Henshin!" KAMENRIDE DECADE! In a burst of holograms, his armor
formed as he tapped another card out of his RideBooker. "Henshin!" KAMENRIDE
OOO!
"If they're invisible, then...!" ATTACKRIDE: HAWK VISION!
With any luck, Tsukasa will be able to see every opponent clearly to get a bead
on the next opponent, drawing another card. &
OvermanZs1: Further off, still not affecting the immideate combat zone, another
magic hand appears and stabs though both people and houses... what's wors about
this is that the spikes don't move in a line, they bend and twist
Dessa-chan: *Arika quickly transformed into her Robe, and summoned her Element.
Without knowing where the enemy was, she stood defensively in front of Mashiro.
"Mashiro, try to find some cover!"+

OvermanZs1: [Decade] You are able to see 3 enemies in your vicinity, 1 on the
ground, two fighting off, and killing Fanelian Guymelefs. However, spotting
others isn't possible, thanks to both terrain, and a rising heat source

UltimateSalsa: *Mashiro lets out a breath as Arika takes a form that can
actually take a hit. "All right, I'll look for something... there!" A convenient
storefront is open; she hurries over to it and does her best to get out of the
way, still keeping an eye on Arika.+

OvermanZs1: [Arika] Something smashes the stone guardrails some distance away!
But worse, now that you se ethat hand, it's pointing those three ominous tubes
right for Mashiro! You have a split second to protect your "lord"! (react,
Arika)
Dessa-chan: Arika: "MASHIRO!"
ShaunGarin: ATTACKRIDE: ILLUSION! In a flash of light, DecadeOOO separated into
several opponents and he nodded to them. "Go support the kids."
Two of them nodded, their Hawk Vision active as DecadeOOO turned towards the
motorcycle and placed another card into it. ATTACKRIDE: RIDEVENDOR! Getting on
it, he speeds towards the nearest attacking Guymelef, firing at it with his
RideBooker.+

Dessa-chan: *Arika flies right into the path of the weapons, using her ribbon
to hold herself in place, and holding her arms defensively in front of her.+
OvermanZs1: [Decade] The potshots pierce through the cloak, but bounce off
something underneath. At least whatever it is is on the defensive. Suddenly, a
HEAD! as flames spew from it's face in your general direction (react)
OvermanZs1: [Arika] Three claws crash into your arms and are held off by the
robe. The enemy draws it's hand back, and the spikes, only to raise it up. The
three spikes converge into the sword, then drop down onto you (react some more
mwahaha)
ShaunGarin: *Oh he'll react all right. FINAL ATTACKRIDE: O-O-O-O! Leaping off
the motorcycle which seems to have a mind of its own, three rings form as he
makes a pinpoint dive at the enemy's forehead, Tora Claws outstretched for the
cleaving attack! No sense holding back, right?+
Dessa-chan: *Arika's holding her staff Element above her, attempting to use it
as a weapon to fend off the enemy+
OvermanZs1: [Decade] Flames enbelop the bike, scorching it. It's quite a bit
toasty, but, probably still usable if it doesn't crash into something. The
flying kick from a mere human isn't expected as you crash through it's head,
breaking off a helmet and part of the back. The cloak falls, exposing it before
it falls foward, disabled
EricOverbringer: On the way to the shrine, Van discards all the ceremonial
raiment, revealing his ordinary clothes underneath
EricOverbringer: he keeps the sword, though
OvermanZs1: (because swords are a good thing to have!)
OvermanZs1: SHOUTARO! YOSHIKA! Are you equipped and ready to roll out?

Dessa-chan: Philip: *has given Shoutaro the Bat Shot*
*** TroubleFireCat has left the conversation.
OvermanZs1: Meanwhile, Van, you've retreated/progressed to the temple. A large
rock-egg hangs from the ceiling, above an orate runic circle. Only you can
perform the ritual, and prevent kingdom fires.
EricOverbringer: Van stand on the big swirly design under the rock egg and cuts
his thumb on the sword just enough for it to bleed and the dragon energist that
he ALSO has with him, I promise
EricOverbringer: The holds it up in the air

from Yoshika.
EricOverbringer: Van: "I, Van Fanel, new king of Fanelia bind myself by blood
pact to thee, Escaflowne!"
OvermanZs1: [Arika] The invisible enemy continues to smash it's sword down into
the Otome. Even the ground beneath her is buckling! Parts of your robe are
cracking, chipping, and part of it even drops to the ground. And yet, it
persists, damned and determined to crush this one little girl! (react)
EricOverbringer: "Thou sleeping dragon, awaken!"
OvermanZs1: (Double and Miyafuji, attack!)
Dessa-chan: *Arika chanced a glance behind her, making sure Mashiro was safe.
"Mashiro... if anything happens to me, find Tsukasa or Shoutaro. They'll protect
you!" She focused again on the enemy, ignoring more and more of her Robe
breaking off (it's probably a good thing her "brother" and Shoutaro aren't close
enough to see certain unmentionable parts of her nearing visibility), and with
hands spread out on her Element, uses her power to try to push back the sword.+
OvermanZs1: [Van] The symbol beneath you glows, making the rock egg above you
glow as well. The rock breaks away (rea- nope) and don't land on you at all.
You're pretty damn safe from it.
Herc061881: Yoshika: ARIKA! *she flies in with Double hitching a ride, firing
multiple shots at her enemy that dared to hurt her friend*
OvermanZs1: From the rock a mashine... a massive suit of armor descends slowly
to the flood, and even kneels for you, King of Falena
OvermanZs1: ... Fanelia
blackmagerulz101@gmail.com: Double: ARIKA! GET BACK! *Firing with Heat Trigger*
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro leans out over the wall she's hiding behind, clearly
worried. "Arika...!" She has no clue if there's anything she can do, though.

OvermanZs1: [Arika] The sword continues to crash into you but finally, it
relents. It's head becomes visible and, makes the problem that much worse as it
spews fire over the poor Otome and her deteriorating Robe

EricOverbringer: Van hops up on it's knee and puts the dragon energist into the
red gem on it's chest
OvermanZs1: (Wait, I get it now...)
Herc061881: (The back, to provide a distraction)
OvermanZs1: (react, Arika)

OvermanZs1: [Yoshika, and I think Double? I didn't see an ACTION there] Your
firing strikes into the back of where there is, logically, an enemy but, only
after a few bullets hit from either of you, a set of spikes come flying your
way! (react, both)
Dessa-chan: *Arika's Robe shatters, and her GEM breaks as well, throwing the
girl into the building Mashiro is hiding in, back in her school uniform.+
Herc061881: Yoshika: Waah! *She quickly hangs onto Double while moving to avoid
those spikes*
OvermanZs1: (please start actions with * and end them with + gaiz
blackmagerulz101@gmail.com: Double: I believe this is my stop! [Lets go of
Yoshika, drops to the ground, switches memories to Cyclone Metal, batting away
the spikes as he charges towards his target] +
OvermanZs1: [Arika] The sword unravels, spikes now aparent again as the foe
makes yet another piercing strike at the disarmed Otome
OvermanZs1: (react)
OvermanZs1: [Double] Yoshika succeeds in not dropping you awkwardly, and
memory-sitching goes off without incident. As the spikes are swatted away, they
bend away, arching around. But in spreading around you, they being to converge,
twisting and about to crush you in between (react)
*** CaptainGardock has left the conversation.
OvermanZs1: [Van] As the energist sinks into the gem, Escaflowne lights up,
glowing, then opens it's chest to let you inside.
blackmagerulz101@gmail.com: *uses metal shaft to pole vault over the spikes and
continue his charge! +
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro panics as Arika comes flying toward her; she starts to
run toward the girl but stops when she sees the spikes coming toward them, an
expression of horror on her face.
EricOverbringer: Van hops into the harness and straps himself in
EricOverbringer: "Good, it's just like in the ancient scrolls, I can make it
work."
Dessa-chan: *Arika stood, arms outstretched, between the attack and the child
Queen. However, a light started to shine from within her dress, as a certain
pendant appeared from around her neck. A glowing light shot from the pendant,
creating a barrier around her and Mashiro, attempting to push the attack back.&
OvermanZs1: [Double] Now a twisted single spike, the enemy withdraws, whipping
the spikes about in the process. One spike catches Double across the side,
knocking him about and across the ground
OvermanZs1: (Fate, Nanoha)

OvermanZs1: [Arika] As the spikes strike they stop just short of the girls, held
back by this new glowing! (proceed)
OvermanZs1: [Van] As 'Flowne cloes up around you, sealing you in for combat, one
of the walls of the temple crumbles, giving way to a spinning set of spikes
right for you! (react)
griefgathering: *The OOOs clones have now met up with Nanoha and Fate, so Nanoha
is going to get them to try their best. She sends the clone assigned to her
forward, hoping that the Detect Invisibility will reveal the guymelefs'
position.&
EricOverbringer: *Escaflowne draws the sword on it's back and hastily parries
the spikes!+
Dessa-chan: *From within the pendant, two small stones emerge, and land in
Arika's hand. "Blue gemstones...?" She takes one, and tries to fit it in her
now-empty earring, and it's a perfect fit. "I knew it!" She ran to Mashiro.
"Mashiro, gimme your left hand!"
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro, surprised, does so without objection. "Okay...."
OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] They reveal two! One you picked up before, and another
one, busy spraying fire into the spreading sea of burning huts and homes
(proceed)
Dessa-chan: Arika quickly replaced the stone in Mashiro's ring with the
matching blue one. "Umm, what was next...? The contract! Make a contract with
me!"
griefgathering: Nanoha: Fate-chan, try to match my timing!
griefgathering: Raising Heart: Cannon Mode.
OvermanZs1: [Van] A well timed parry! A very visible Guymelef finishes
breakingdown the wall, crashing through and coming at you with it's other hand
as a sword! (react once more)
OvermanZs1: (react, then act, matter of fact)
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate: Ready when you are Nanoha.
UltimateSalsa: "With you!? Why should I..." Her objection dies as she remembers
the thing about to stab them. "Okay, okay, fine!" Then, formally: "Arika
Yumemiya. Will you accept me as your Master?"
griefgathering: *And the revealing of the guymelefs gives Nanoha all she needs
to take aim. She's going to try her best to avoid collateral, but she needs the
big gun for this so...
Dessa-chan: Arika nodded. "Yup. For now!"
OvermanZs1: [Fate!] While you do try to match your timing, seems your foes won't
allow it! A head becomes plainly visible, and spews fire over the blonde Mage
(react)
griefgathering: Nanoha: Divine.......BUSTERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
griefgathering: +
EricOverbringer: *Escaflowne steps inside of the sword and brings it's own sword
down on the enemy's arm!+
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro makes a face. "Was that necessary....? Oh well, no time!"
After a beat: "Then, Arika, in my name, unleash your power!" She leans over and,

does, actually, take a lot of the brunt off but, a hole is still blown from
shoulder to chest, part of the pilot with it

Arika held her ground, and shouted "MATERIALIZE!" The GEM glowed even brighter,
as a new Robe appeared on Arika, visibly stronger and more sturdy than her

action, but you do so uninterupted, much to the dismay of the enemy.

takes the arm off. But such a forceful and powerful swing takes cut into the
knee as well, dropping the Guymelef down to said knee (free attack?)

the fires as he changed the motorcycle as well, into the ToraVendor. Smirking,
he reared back the machine which let out a deafening roar as he roared into
battle again. Pulling it into a leap off a upturned wagon, it bounded from
unstable building to building, and leaped claws out the visible opponent!

Oh hey, he's going to blind it with a massive burst of flame and heat in the
face. Hopefully, so that said ToraVendor can try and maul it in the FACE!+

building, many of them crumbling under the wear of FLAMES. Just as you leap off

it aside. As Yoshika zips the other way, it's just barely enoguh space to get
by without getting hit by a stray arm.

OvermanZs1: Van, you arrive at ground level, and your city looks like... well,
little more than rubble and a sea of flames, with people From the Chalice strewn

"The Tower and the... Strength?" Her sense of unease only grows at the visions
of the ominous cards.

OvermanZs1: [Van] However... the aforemention spikes are coming, from your
blindside, even Hitomi's blind side!
EricOverbringer: Van: "Fanelia! What happened!?"
OvermanZs1: [Van] Something lands on Escaflowne's back making it lurch forward
just a bit as the spikes are... flawlessly parried! And thusly cut down!
It's Balgus!
EricOverbringer: Van: "Balgus? What's going on out here!? How did they-"
OvermanZs1: But the enemy does not play fair. From your back, another Guymelef
drops it's cloak and raises it's sword. This, you see coming, Hitomi.
greenmorningstar: Hitomi: Van, look out! Behind you!
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "Get out fo here, Lord Van! All of you go! Fanelia is lost
this day!"
OvermanZs1: *CRASH* Again, Balgus's sword to the rescue, parrying the large
blade. With a great show of strength and badassery, he repells the Guymelef's
sword, leaps onto its chest, and plunges his blade through it's head!
EricOverbringer: Van whirls around a second too late. Balgus just saved his life
twice in almost as many seconds
OvermanZs1: As Balgus toys with jamming his sword into the face of the Zaibach
Guymelef, another one uncloaks itself, points it's hand, and fires a tiny spike.
OvermanZs1: Like a knife through butter, it passes through his chest. But he
doesn't quite relenquish. With the last of his strength, he drives his sword
down deep into the Guymelef, crushing it through the pilot's skull!

OvermanZs1: Almost as if to defy physics, Balgus slowly drops to the ground
below with a heavy, manly thud, and begins to bleed out...

OvermanZs1: [Yoshika] Well... that Otome kick might kind of have Arika's foot a
little stuck between two bits of armor in the fallen Guymelef. She's otherwise
fine... except a fair amount of pain in her ankle.
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro looks on in horror. Even if it's not her kingdom, she
never likes to see this kind of destruction. For just a moment, she flashes back
to Windbloom, shaking her head before she can dwell on it; she doesn't need to
imagine her own kingdom in flames. Then she winces, wondering why her ankle is
hurting so much; she hasn't yet seen Arika.
OvermanZs1: [Everyone that's not busy doing a thing] There's a loud whirring...
something that drowns out the sounds of the sea of flames about. As it grows
louder, to some of you it's clear what's happening. A ship is descending, and
headed right for the town!

visiblity under the ruble.

ship. They're soon joined by the pursuers. Several of them open fire on the
ship itself, which riddles dents into the ship!

OvermanZs1: The big problem with this "enemy attack" is that there's nothing
visible attacking you. Nothing visible
OvermanZs1: And yet something is certainly destroying parts of the town that are
some distance away from you.
Dessa-chan: Philip, meanwhile, is running to the hangar, a blue object in his
hand. When he gets there, he tells whomever is there to get Yoshika's Striker
Unit ready.
OvermanZs1: VAN! However, guards and the like are quite ushering you into the
castle for protection. Balgus is barking out orders to the guards, and is quite
nearby.
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "Lord Van, I want you to take your guest, Lady Hitomi, to
the shrine."
EricOverbringer: Van: "For Escaflowne?"
OvermanZs1: The confusion escilates as several guards at civvie level are
suddenly flat and bloody!
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "If it becomes necessary, take Escaflowne and flee." With a
mighty shove, he pushes you along Van. As guards line up between you and him,
Balgus draws a cloth away from his mighty sword.
EricOverbringer: Van hesitates, then grabs Hitomi's hand, "Come on, we need to
go!"
OvermanZs1: FINALLY! A sign of something... an ARM emerges from behind an
invisible curtain and points itself into the crowd. From the hand, three
massive spikes plunge into the populous.
Finally, a sign of your foe!
ShaunGarin: Tsukasa: Tch. Looks like we've got big fish today.

OvermanZs1: Balgus stares onto the battlefield that is his kingdom he so
protects. The look on his grizzled face says one thing;

There is a trick she can pull off though.

OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] Your spell produces results. There's one "something"
within 20 meters of you, and two more within 50.
griefgathering: *An orb is launched from Raising Heart's tip and begins to scan
the immediate area for disturbances, while Nanoha prepares to strike&
OvermanZs1: [Well, you have your results, continue, Nanoha]

griefgathering: *Having detected the enemy, Nanoha goes straight to attacking,
trying her best to make sure she doesn't hit any civvies nearby. Cue four Divine
Spheres screaming toward the inviso-thingies!+

OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] Two of the spheres go wide, hitting nothing and whizzing
off beyond. The third hits something, causing a rippling in the light, while
the fourth causes the ground to quake shortly after. There's a bigger ripple in
the light as something is much much more aparently there!
OvermanZs1: (Fate, support attack)
griefgathering: Nanoha: A robot?!
griefgathering: Clearly she needs to bring out the big guns after this.
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate sees where Nanoha is launching her attack and launces
Haken Slash to throw two scythe blades.
OvermanZs1: Elsewhere, unrelated to anyone in combat, FIRE! Fire from
nowhere... (sort of) as a few houses are set ablaze!

of a slashing attack is that whatever was cloaking this machine is sliced! It
takes an arm along as well, but now it's far more aparent what we're dealing

With any luck, Tsukasa will be able to see every opponent clearly to get a bead
on the next opponent, drawing another card. &
OvermanZs1: Further off, still not affecting the immideate combat zone, another
magic hand appears and stabs though both people and houses... what's wors about
this is that the spikes don't move in a line, they bend and twist
Dessa-chan: *Arika quickly transformed into her Robe, and summoned her Element.
Without knowing where the enemy was, she stood defensively in front of Mashiro.
"Mashiro, try to find some cover!"+

OvermanZs1: [Decade] You are able to see 3 enemies in your vicinity, 1 on the
ground, two fighting off, and killing Fanelian Guymelefs. However, spotting
others isn't possible, thanks to both terrain, and a rising heat source

UltimateSalsa: *Mashiro lets out a breath as Arika takes a form that can
actually take a hit. "All right, I'll look for something... there!" A convenient
storefront is open; she hurries over to it and does her best to get out of the
way, still keeping an eye on Arika.+

OvermanZs1: [Arika] Something smashes the stone guardrails some distance away!
But worse, now that you se ethat hand, it's pointing those three ominous tubes
right for Mashiro! You have a split second to protect your "lord"! (react,

ShaunGarin: ATTACKRIDE: ILLUSION! In a flash of light, DecadeOOO separated into
several opponents and he nodded to them. "Go support the kids."
Two of them nodded, their Hawk Vision active as DecadeOOO turned towards the
motorcycle and placed another card into it. ATTACKRIDE: RIDEVENDOR! Getting on
it, he speeds towards the nearest attacking Guymelef, firing at it with his
RideBooker.+

Dessa-chan: *Arika flies right into the path of the weapons, using her ribbon
to hold herself in place, and holding her arms defensively in front of her.+
OvermanZs1: [Decade] The potshots pierce through the cloak, but bounce off
something underneath. At least whatever it is is on the defensive. Suddenly, a
HEAD! as flames spew from it's face in your general direction (react)
OvermanZs1: [Arika] Three claws crash into your arms and are held off by the
robe. The enemy draws it's hand back, and the spikes, only to raise it up. The
three spikes converge into the sword, then drop down onto you (react some more
mwahaha)
ShaunGarin: *Oh he'll react all right. FINAL ATTACKRIDE: O-O-O-O! Leaping off
the motorcycle which seems to have a mind of its own, three rings form as he
makes a pinpoint dive at the enemy's forehead, Tora Claws outstretched for the
cleaving attack! No sense holding back, right?+
Dessa-chan: *Arika's holding her staff Element above her, attempting to use it
as a weapon to fend off the enemy+
OvermanZs1: [Decade] Flames enbelop the bike, scorching it. It's quite a bit
toasty, but, probably still usable if it doesn't crash into something. The
flying kick from a mere human isn't expected as you crash through it's head,
breaking off a helmet and part of the back. The cloak falls, exposing it before
it falls foward, disabled
EricOverbringer: On the way to the shrine, Van discards all the ceremonial
raiment, revealing his ordinary clothes underneath
EricOverbringer: he keeps the sword, though
OvermanZs1: (because swords are a good thing to have!)
OvermanZs1: SHOUTARO! YOSHIKA! Are you equipped and ready to roll out?

his thumb on the sword just enough for it to bleed and the dragon energist that
he ALSO has with him, I promise

the Otome. Even the ground beneath her is buckling! Parts of your robe are
cracking, chipping, and part of it even drops to the ground. And yet, it
persists, damned and determined to crush this one little girl! (react)
EricOverbringer: "Thou sleeping dragon, awaken!"
OvermanZs1: (Double and Miyafuji, attack!)
Dessa-chan: *Arika chanced a glance behind her, making sure Mashiro was safe.
"Mashiro... if anything happens to me, find Tsukasa or Shoutaro. They'll protect
you!" She focused again on the enemy, ignoring more and more of her Robe
breaking off (it's probably a good thing her "brother" and Shoutaro aren't close
enough to see certain unmentionable parts of her nearing visibility), and with
hands spread out on her Element, uses her power to try to push back the sword.+
OvermanZs1: [Van] The symbol beneath you glows, making the rock egg above you
glow as well. The rock breaks away (rea- nope) and don't land on you at all.
You're pretty damn safe from it.
Herc061881: Yoshika: ARIKA! *she flies in with Double hitching a ride, firing
multiple shots at her enemy that dared to hurt her friend*
OvermanZs1: From the rock a mashine... a massive suit of armor descends slowly
to the flood, and even kneels for you, King of Falena

makes yet another piercing strike at the disarmed Otome

OvermanZs1: [Double] Yoshika succeeds in not dropping you awkwardly, and
memory-sitching goes off without incident. As the spikes are swatted away, they
bend away, arching around. But in spreading around you, they being to converge,
twisting and about to crush you in between (react)

OvermanZs1: [Van] As the energist sinks into the gem, Escaflowne lights up,
glowing, then opens it's chest to let you inside.

UltimateSalsa: Mashiro panics as Arika comes flying toward her; she starts to
run toward the girl but stops when she sees the spikes coming toward them, an
expression of horror on her face.

work."
Dessa-chan: *Arika stood, arms outstretched, between the attack and the child
Queen. However, a light started to shine from within her dress, as a certain
pendant appeared from around her neck. A glowing light shot from the pendant,
creating a barrier around her and Mashiro, attempting to push the attack back.&
OvermanZs1: [Double] Now a twisted single spike, the enemy withdraws, whipping
the spikes about in the process. One spike catches Double across the side,
knocking him about and across the ground

OvermanZs1: [Arika] As the spikes strike they stop just short of the girls, held
back by this new glowing! (proceed)
OvermanZs1: [Van] As 'Flowne cloes up around you, sealing you in for combat, one
of the walls of the temple crumbles, giving way to a spinning set of spikes
right for you! (react)
griefgathering: *The OOOs clones have now met up with Nanoha and Fate, so Nanoha
is going to get them to try their best. She sends the clone assigned to her
forward, hoping that the Detect Invisibility will reveal the guymelefs'
position.&
EricOverbringer: *Escaflowne draws the sword on it's back and hastily parries
the spikes!+
Dessa-chan: *From within the pendant, two small stones emerge, and land in
Arika's hand. "Blue gemstones...?" She takes one, and tries to fit it in her
now-empty earring, and it's a perfect fit. "I knew it!" She ran to Mashiro.
"Mashiro, gimme your left hand!"
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro, surprised, does so without objection. "Okay...."
OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] They reveal two! One you picked up before, and another
one, busy spraying fire into the spreading sea of burning huts and homes
(proceed)
Dessa-chan: Arika quickly replaced the stone in Mashiro's ring with the
matching blue one. "Umm, what was next...? The contract! Make a contract with
me!"
griefgathering: Nanoha: Fate-chan, try to match my timing!
griefgathering: Raising Heart: Cannon Mode.
OvermanZs1: [Van] A well timed parry! A very visible Guymelef finishes
breakingdown the wall, crashing through and coming at you with it's other hand
as a sword! (react once more)

UltimateSalsa: "With you!? Why should I..." Her objection dies as she remembers
the thing about to stab them. "Okay, okay, fine!" Then, formally: "Arika

griefgathering: *And the revealing of the guymelefs gives Nanoha all she needs
to take aim. She's going to try her best to avoid collateral, but she needs the
big gun for this so...
Dessa-chan: Arika nodded. "Yup. For now!"
OvermanZs1: [Fate!] While you do try to match your timing, seems your foes won't
allow it! A head becomes plainly visible, and spews fire over the blonde Mage

a blush spreading across her face, kisses the newly-set gemstone in Arika's ear.
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate throws up a shield as fast as she can tp try and protect
her and Nanoha who is next to her.
OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] Your attack, fires without a hitch. The pilot of the
Guymelef tries to be creative and spins it's spikes about it like a shield. It
does, actually, take a lot of the brunt off but, a hole is still blown from
shoulder to chest, part of the pilot with it
Dessa-chan: Arika stepped away from Mashiro. "Yes, Master!" The GEM glowing,
Arika held her ground, and shouted "MATERIALIZE!" The GEM glowed even brighter,
as a new Robe appeared on Arika, visibly stronger and more sturdy than her
previous one.+

OvermanZs1: [Fate] Flames bubble around you,dispersed by the shield, but, the
concentrated stream is simply making the inside of the barrier sweltering. Your
focus is starting to falter! The flames, do, end, leaving you sweaty and
potentialy exhausted (but you may ACT properly now)
OvermanZs1: [Arika] New robe get! That's not much of an action as it ia free
action, but you do so uninterupted, much to the dismay of the enemy.
TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate flies up a and slams her sycthe into the head pf the
giant that just spewed fire. "HAKEN SLASH!" +
OvermanZs1: [Van] Escaflowne's superior... everything, gets inside the swing and
takes the arm off. But such a forceful and powerful swing takes cut into the
knee as well, dropping the Guymelef down to said knee (free attack?)
OvermanZs1: (and now we have Decade and Arika at their turn again! Horray)

EricOverbringer: *Van plants Escaflowne's foot on the enemy's chest and shoves
it flat on it's back so he can get in the coup de grace!+

ShaunGarin: *Formride: LaToraTar! Landing on the motorcycle, Decade patted out
the fires as he changed the motorcycle as well, into the ToraVendor. Smirking,
he reared back the machine which let out a deafening roar as he roared into
battle again. Pulling it into a leap off a upturned wagon, it bounded from
unstable building to building, and leaped claws out the visible opponent!
ATTACKRIDE: LIODIAS!
Oh hey, he's going to blind it with a massive burst of flame and heat in the
face. Hopefully, so that said ToraVendor can try and maul it in the FACE!+

into the air, and then does a <strike>Rider</strike> Otome Kick right into the
visible head!+

the shameful defeat at the hands of little girls and men with magic powers! You

sword. It parries the strike from the scythe over head. It's other hand
emerges, fully revealing itlself in the process, and proceeds to swing a second

OvermanZs1: [Decade] You tread dangerously as you ride from building to
building, many of them crumbling under the wear of FLAMES. Just as you leap off
to ram an invisible foe, the building caves in. The light causes the enemy to
stagger, letting the bike ram into it's chest

OvermanZs1: [Arika] The enemy tries to hide under it's cloak again, but you
alreayd know where it is as it draws away. (un)fortunately, you still strike
the Guymelef in the chest, sending it (and you) flying down to the city below
where much of the other fighting is going on. YOSHIKA THOUGH, this means you
might just get hit by falling Guymelef (react: Yoshika)

hand and Fate, putting up a Round Shield against the incoming weapon.+

OvermanZs1: [Nanoha] Your flash move is just a tad off! It puts you a foot
closer than you wanted, but the round shield holds... if it only does get that
sword within inches of your belly!
OvermanZs1: [Yoshika] As you throw up your shield, the Guymelef LANDS on it!
But how long can you actually hold it up? Likely not much longer, as it's
exponentlially heavier than you are. You're a few feet from the ground here,
between it and your Shield (react)

Smasher blows the sword off completely off, sending it staggering back. But it
still has one good arm, for which to throw spikes at you again! (react)
OvermanZs1: [Yoshika/Double] The Javelin crashes into the mech's side, knocking
it aside. As Yoshika zips the other way, it's just barely enoguh space to get
by without getting hit by a stray arm.
OvermanZs1: [Hitomi] You see a vision. Of the Tower card. And suddenly, the
card burns!

TenebraeLunaXIII: Fate uses her fastest speed to dodge around the spikes coming
at her.
OvermanZs1: [Fate] The spikes totally whiff as if... not even aiming for you...

card in your visiions... and it too, burns away
OvermanZs1: Van, you arrive at ground level, and your city looks like... well,
little more than rubble and a sea of flames, with people From the Chalice strewn
about fighting
greenmorningstar: Hitomi puts a hand to her head, startled by the sudden vision.
"The Tower and the... Strength?" Her sense of unease only grows at the visions
of the ominous cards.
EricOverbringer: Van is distressed
OvermanZs1: [Van] However... the aforemention spikes are coming, from your
blindside, even Hitomi's blind side!
EricOverbringer: Van: "Fanelia! What happened!?"
OvermanZs1: [Van] Something lands on Escaflowne's back making it lurch forward
just a bit as the spikes are... flawlessly parried! And thusly cut down!
It's Balgus!
EricOverbringer: Van: "Balgus? What's going on out here!? How did they-"
OvermanZs1: But the enemy does not play fair. From your back, another Guymelef
drops it's cloak and raises it's sword. This, you see coming, Hitomi.
greenmorningstar: Hitomi: Van, look out! Behind you!
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "Get out fo here, Lord Van! All of you go! Fanelia is lost
this day!"
OvermanZs1: *CRASH* Again, Balgus's sword to the rescue, parrying the large
blade. With a great show of strength and badassery, he repells the Guymelef's
sword, leaps onto its chest, and plunges his blade through it's head!
EricOverbringer: Van whirls around a second too late. Balgus just saved his life
twice in almost as many seconds
OvermanZs1: As Balgus toys with jamming his sword into the face of the Zaibach
Guymelef, another one uncloaks itself, points it's hand, and fires a tiny spike.
OvermanZs1: Like a knife through butter, it passes through his chest. But he
doesn't quite relenquish. With the last of his strength, he drives his sword
down deep into the Guymelef, crushing it through the pilot's skull!
(Van, Yoshika and Double will be up in a second)
OvermanZs1: Almost as if to defy physics, Balgus slowly drops to the ground
below with a heavy, manly thud, and begins to bleed out...
EricOverbringer: Van: "BAAAAAALGUUUUUUUUS!!!"
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "Your majesty... Take... Escaflowne and flee!"
OvermanZs1: Balgus: "Flee and someday return... Reunite... the people of...
Fanelia..."
OvermanZs1: (you three may act in fury or otherwise, as time resumes proper...

his teacher and surrogate father and makes a gigantic thrust right at the center

OvermanZs1: [Van] The Guymelef has no chance to defend. The chestpiece crumples
under the thrust and is rewarded with a thick red ooze rom the blood of the man

OvermanZs1: [Yoshika] Well... that Otome kick might kind of have Arika's foot a
little stuck between two bits of armor in the fallen Guymelef. She's otherwise
fine... except a fair amount of pain in her ankle.
UltimateSalsa: Mashiro looks on in horror. Even if it's not her kingdom, she
never likes to see this kind of destruction. For just a moment, she flashes back
to Windbloom, shaking her head before she can dwell on it; she doesn't need to
imagine her own kingdom in flames. Then she winces, wondering why her ankle is
hurting so much; she hasn't yet seen Arika.
OvermanZs1: [Everyone that's not busy doing a thing] There's a loud whirring...
something that drowns out the sounds of the sea of flames about. As it grows
louder, to some of you it's clear what's happening. A ship is descending, and
headed right for the town!
ShaunGarin: Tsukasa: Incoming.
OvermanZs1: (Double and Yoshika can still act... those aren't actions guys)

EricOverbringer: Van can't seem to focus on why this is important

OvermanZs1: As if there wasn't much left to save anyway, at least there's the
cast- oh wait. While it does try to evade, the ship crashes through one of the
towers, sending debris below. Luck would have it that a Guymelef flickers into
visiblity under the ruble.

cr...aaaah!"

streets below. She's rubble-free)

same though, the chest is crumpled under the strikes, sealing the pilot within,

OvermanZs1: Behind the ship is something small, which stops over the burnig city
as the new ship comes to a sudden crash just outside Fanelia. Like,
literally... right outside the gates.

pursued by the One Eyed Don's crew, they are very dangerous!"

ShaunGarin: Tsukasa: I hear you. Everyone, I'm going to go intercept.
OvermanZs1: In short order, a few humanoid machines teleport in, surrounding the
ship. They're soon joined by the pursuers. Several of them open fire on the
ship itself, which riddles dents into the ship!

restain her anger and sadness.

griefgathering: Reality's slowly sinking in for Nanoha. But she's trying to keep
it together. This isn't the kind of scenery she wants to view from the sky.

as she gets close. "Good work, Arika. You did all right out there." But soon
enough she frowns again. "I just wish we could have done more."
