tengusaur (02:38:54): There are many entrances the Infected units use to move in and out. A lot of them are covered with metal or biological doors at the moment, but a few are open, including one nearby.
aldo salt (02:38:55): "What about the vacuum trams? That run underneath the rim of the colony's circumfrence?"

tengusaur (02:43:20): The inside of the tunnel is a twisting path, with walls covered in a messy mixture of metal and flesh... Some things seem to be pulsing or twitching here and there, fortunately you can't see them too well.
VJockey (02:43:35): "Hm... much worse than I last saw it..."
tengusaur (02:43:55): There are many side hatches, most of them closed. But the tunnel itself is not just a straight line, instead dividing once in a while.
Fri Freeman (02:43:56): Elena: "This brings back memories"
tengusaur (02:44:23): But Luger and Elena find the layout oddly familiar, even if it changed from when the colony used to be normal...
aldo salt (02:44:31): Matthew snarls in his cockpit, every instinct urging him to open fire on everything. He bats down that impulse handily enough.
VJockey (02:44:33): [He stops for a moment so he can get his bearings.] "Ja. It does. Remember Josef when he brought in those dogs?"
tengusaur (02:44:57): Once in a while, small, insect-like mecha are crawling on the walls, doing God knows what.

Wyverncakes (02:45:17): Josh: "Just keep focused. We leave the bomb and then we get out of dodge."
VJockey (02:45:35): [Luger thinks he knows... but its best not to think about it.] "And mine was a whore. I don't care."

tengusaur (02:46:36): After some time, the tunnel gets a bit wider, entering what seems to be the inside of the colony. But this too has changed a lot since last time, with most of the space taken by giant, semi-mechanical structures of unknown purposes...
VJockey (02:47:05): "Ah... these look different from the time I left... hahahaha..."
Meraxa (02:47:19): Richard: These... don't look necessarily good

tengusaur (02:49:35): The Infected machine continues skittering down the wall, towards its unknown destination. It doesn't seem more bothered then before.

tengusaur (02:51:29): But instead, it's a giant, pulsating organ, semi-transparent in places which lets you see metals and liquids swirling inside. It's connected with dozens of metal tubes to the surrounding walls.
Wyverncakes (02:51:57): Josh: "Well this was sorta expected but it's still..."
Meraxa (02:51:58): Richard: ...You have GOT to be kidding...
Aero (02:51:59): Kurou: "Guess that explains what they were working on."
Wyverncakes (02:52:05): Well, all kinds of fucked up..
VJockey (02:52:26): "Ja. This was their goal."
aldo salt (02:52:32): "I think we have found the placement point, quiaff?" Matthew says.
Drascin (02:52:40): Samus wordlessly keeps her scanners in the entire surrounding area. This is about the moment when these things usually go wrong

tengusaur (02:53:41): There are too many Infected machines to count, especially since the scanner picks them up as extension of one organism rather than separate things. But all of them seem to be occupied with their own stuff.

aldo salt (02:57:07): Matthew turns about on cold jets, positioning his Nova to cover Richard if things turn to violence…aheh, when.

tengusaur (02:57:30): Richard reaches the pulsating organ without any problems on the way... Though it might just be an illusion, but it seems to pulse more when he gets closer.

VJockey (03:14:13): [Luger hauls out Mr McWuffles. Anyone who takes a closer glance at the massive sniper rifle will notice it now has paintings of playing kittens on it.]
Drascin (03:14:14): to start, though, she's going to collapse the tunnel behind them with a hail of explosives. It's probably going to delay the things all of ten seconds, tops, given the station itself is alive, but ten seconds running start sounds great right now
tengusaur (03:14:39): They're going in your direction, trying to cut off your way before the giant horde behind you reaches you!

tengusaur (03:21:05): The Kralle's tumor is pierced, sending around a lot of acidic blood and... fuel?

Fri Freeman (03:22:10): Elena grins widely as she zooms forward, unsheathing her Vibrating Knife. She open fire with her chain rifle at one of the Infizierte, peppering it with covering fire, before stabbing at the gap between its head and its chest armor and then pulling the knife with a slashing motion.+
Wyverncakes (03:23:05): * And while Luger's escaping, Josh turns his attention to the massive Legion, the Aile's Impulse Cannons glowing bright with power before Josh unleashes two massive beams at them!+
Overman Zappa (03:23:36): *And that's about the time it pulls a sword from it's knee/pouch. Ideally it's nodatchi is longer than their claws, so it swings, looking to take their hands off completely.
tengusaur (03:23:39): Luger manages to escape, mostly, but the acid burns his Leo's leg armor pretty bad as he escapes! The wire of Josh's unit is weakened too.
Drascin (03:23:45): Samus is going to leave the AI of her ship shooting down the backwards corridor to delay as much as possible, while she herself jumps out of the ship to fight for real

Fri Freeman (03:28:03): Elena: "Ah yes... this is it..." She says as her Aries bathes in the spray of blood. "You know what's missing from mecha battle? They don't bleed... Hee hee... This is much more fun." She says as she circles the Infected Mecha and using it as cover.+
tengusaur (03:28:40): Gainer manages to cut off the first of the arms going his way and clash with the claws of the second abomination. And then Samus fires at their tumors, causing both Infected machines to explode!

Meraxa (03:29:07): Richard: Out of the way! *His usual sword arm kinda... occupied with dictating his moment, Richard has Ideigi's left arm start to glow beneath the shield* SOLAR PUNCH! *And the energy fist flies, intent on creating a path through the enemies ahead+
tengusaur (03:29:54): Josh and Matthew shoot down most of the fleshy missiles, letting Geant dodge whatever is left easily!
tengusaur (03:30:31): Elena uses one of the Infected as a shield from the other, causing it to get peppered with bullets and explode. Kurou cuts clean through the other one!
Fri Freeman (03:31:11): Elena: "Look. Mecha guts. You said mecha pilots should have huge guts right? Tee hee."
Aero (03:31:29): *Once the Scimitar returns to him, Kurou charges straight for Legion swinging the Scimitar down at it. +
Drascin (03:31:31): (reaction) *Seeing the shockwave coming and being in midair with no way to change direction, Samus turns into Morphball, letting herself fly away into the wall but reducing the damage she takes.
Then she unfolds as she lands, her suit shifting into Light Suit. The main blockage to continue moving is the Legion. Therefore, they have to remove it. She rushes forward really fast, skidding and broadsiding the giant thing with a barrage of three Super Missiles!+
aldo salt (03:31:45): Matthew boosts forward, taking aim at the ranks of Legions, taking aim with both his Nova's arms. "Die and fall apart, wretches from beyond space! Alphhaaaa Strikeeee!!! *He opens up with a full barrage!+
VJockey (03:31:49): "Yes! They should! They pilot huge machines, therefore they have huge guts!"
Overman Zappa (03:31:55): *Gainer pulls XAN back, using the Photon Mat as an umbrella against all the squishy gushing goodness that the infected spew
tengusaur (03:31:56): The main force blocking the route to escape is the Legion, and the Solar Punch rips into the abomination, burning it horribly! It also destroys one of the smaller Infected on the way.
Wyverncakes (03:32:39): Josh: "ALright, we're clear! Go!"
tengusaur (03:32:49): The Legion is about to launch a counterattack, but then it's suddenly peppered by missiles and beams and cut with a flying scimitar, causing it to blow up violently!
tengusaur (03:33:06): Half a dozen smaller Infected are still left, but they're not blocking your way and you can outrun them!
Drascin (03:33:08): Samus: "Move!"
aldo salt (03:33:09): "Move, you freebirth surats! Move!" Matthew snarls, obeying his own advice.
tengusaur (03:33:16): Both Gainer and Samus evade the explosion, by the way.

Wyverncakes (03:44:26): * The Geant is going to move towards the Kralle, using some Blade Bits to occupy the creature long enough for him to swing the massive Neo Cypher Blade down on it!+

Drascin (03:45:27): *Samus was going for the door, but then Gainer rushed into melee with it. That rules out what she intended to do. Therefore, instead she jumps to the ground and proceeds to attack the Infizierte group, walking up to them like the freaking Terminator while melting them with a plasma firethrower+
tengusaur (03:45:36): Gainer stabs XAN's katana into the door, drawing blood from the fleshy surface. The guardian attacks him with half a dozen metallic tentacles! (react/continue)

Wyverncakes (03:45:50): * The Geant's beam blade is plenty long enough, so Josh swings back and uses the weapon to defend himself from whatever comes out of that explosion.+

Meraxa (03:50:30): Richard: *facing towards the enemies at the back, Ideigi's fist begins to glow again* SOLAR.. *He waits on it though, trying to see if he can fuel it... give it more power...* PUNCH! *and it flies towards the group behind them!+
Aero (03:50:37): *With a running start Kurou charges straight at the blast door. "Timaeus, Critias active....ALRIGHT." Demonbane then SLAMS it's foot into the door. "ATLANTIS STRIKE." The Deus Machina releases a huge shockwave of time space severing energy point blank at the door.+
aldo salt (03:51:52): *Matthew rockets forward to add some more firepower to the anti-door coalition! "Alphaaa…STRIKE!"+
tengusaur (03:52:34): The clones make a good job at keeping the tentacles away, cutting through most of them (though most of the clones are pierced and destroyed in the process). Gainer cuts through the surprisingly tough fleshy layer of the door, revealing the metal underneath.
tengusaur (03:52:47): But he should probably get away from it now, considering what's going in its direction!
tengusaur (03:53:18): Richard burns the last remaining Infected that's close to you! Hard to say what damage he did to the horde that's further away, but at elast some.
tengusaur (03:55:02): Kurou's attack smashes into the door, damaging it and making a big visible gap in it! Matthew's blasts widen the gap enough that all of you can get through!
tengusaur (03:55:36): The other Gebarmutter is slowly crawling up from the hole it fell into, back onto the battlefield!

VJockey (04:04:16): *Luger goes for the strategy of aiming at the big ones! He fires multiple shells at the Infected ship and-.. wait... why did some of those rounds have cats drawn on them while others didn't? Did they mean something?... oh yes... now he remembered. Those were the heavier rounds+
Aero (04:04:32): Kurou: "Diving into the enemy hive usually isn't easy."
tengusaur (04:05:26): The shells shake the ship, damaging its armor, and causing it to leak blood everywhere. One of its eyes turns towards Luger and starts to glow... Oh great, it's a beam cannon! (react)
Drascin (04:05:51): Samus in the meantime is scanning the structure of the battleship, trying to locate its core room

She has no time to deal with you things right now! She's got more important things to do now&
tengusaur (04:17:36): Richard's attack smashes a group of 5 or 6 of the insects, causing all of them that are not currently interested in Elena to jump towards him!
Overman Zappa (04:17:49): *Getting out of the way of Matthew's assault, Gainer turns towards the oncoming shots and puts up the Photon Mat, hoping it'll burn up all those tiny ullets... +

tengusaur (04:25:38): The ship starts to shake violently as a blindingly bright explosion goes off inside it, engulfing it fully! When it fades out, there is no Infected vessel anymore. There is only Samus.

aldo salt (04:38:32): Matthew reaches out with his Nova's hands and grabs Josh's Geant as well!
Wyverncakes (04:39:04): * And once everyone's holding on tight, the Geant charges ahead, Neo Cypher Blade at the ready. But wait! Before you know it, the machine suddenly is juking to the left... with after images following it before it suddenly goes all out! Hope you aren't aiming at the wrong spot. "Alright... GO!" And the Geant's gonna charge on through!+
tengusaur (04:41:46): Whatever shots actually fly towards the right image are intercepted by the Photon Mats of Gainer's clones!
tengusaur (04:42:33): The charge forward of the whole freakin' brigade smashes through many of the Infected machines, damaging further ones. Two of the battleships are out of action, thanks to Samus and Luger!

Aero (04:44:11): *Once everyone was through Demonbane contacts the Hadou Princess and soon enough a Naacal Code is sent to the machine. "In this world of light there's no room for beings of darkness." A large green sphere forms in the right hand of the machine. "Thirst not, hunger not, RETURN TO THE VOID, LEMURIA IMPACT." Demonbane charges into the middle of the Infected machines before releasing the expanding sphere of infinite pressure and heat. +
tengusaur (04:45:09): That takes care of the big chunk of the enemy group on your way. Now you can reunite with the rest of Chalice forces and aid them!
tengusaur (04:45:28): Though there's not much left to do there, because the bomb is going to go off in a few seconds!

aldo salt (04:46:05): *Matthew levels his arms at the enemy, heat curve already sending reactor to the edge of a shutdown, his cockpit a sauna! But he grits his teeth, and heedless of the consequences, toggles all his lasers! "Nova….ALPHA…STRIKE!!!!" Beam spammage ensues!+

Drascin (04:49:44): Samus isn't wasting time with all that. She's shooting the Infected trying to block Luger out of the sky
Meraxa (04:49:54): Richard: They might have- Nonononono! *Richard turns up the Jabber's speed to whatever he can get out of it, chasing after Luger*
tengusaur (04:50:22): Precious few of them are in Luger's way - they're more interested in going after the rest of you! You gotta defend yourselves!

tengusaur (04:52:22): While the fight outside is going on, Luger reaches the core of the colony! The giant brain/heart, with the bomb attached to it...
tengusaur (04:52:48): A few tubes are now extending from the heart towards the bomb, and it doesn't look like it's turned on anymore.
Aero (04:52:50): *Demonbane uses it's vulcans (yes it has them) while tossing the Scimitar of Barzai out. "They're not letting us through..." +
aldo salt (04:53:01): Matthew takes aim at the incoming Infected. "Luger! Return alive, or I will kill you!" *He fires several lasers…and as his heat level rises, he hits the coolant venting button again…after disengaging the safeties. The radiator blades mounted in his arm, glowing bright yellow…fly forward and off his mech like porcupine quills!+
tengusaur (04:53:03): And suddenly, Luger feels a massive psychic presence in his head!
VJockey (04:53:27): [Luger hisses in pain, lurching forward in his cockpit as he tried to focus on the bomb.]
tengusaur (04:53:33): ???: "What are you doing back here, tiny insect? What do you hope to accomplish on your own?"
tengusaur (04:53:42): ???: "Suffer! And perish!"
tengusaur (04:54:03): The pain intensifies to a ridiculous level! The thing tries to smash his mind like a mental equivalent of squashing a bug!
VJockey (04:54:36): [And he's in pain, screaming in absolute agony. More suffering than he could have felt in his entire lifetime but....]
Drascin (04:55:32): *Unlike everyone else, Samus is not saying anything. She's simply dodging and killing everything that comes into the cone of fire of her railguns.+
tengusaur (04:55:47): Luger manages to somehow reach the bomb...
tengusaur (04:55:49): What now?
VJockey (04:55:51): [He's smiling. He forces the screams down and away... replacing it with crazed laughter - it was interuppted with a violent coughing fit as black blood soon splatters against his helmet's faceplate.]
VJockey (04:56:05): "Suffer? I've done that all my life."
VJockey (04:56:14): "As for what I plan to do...."
aldo salt (04:56:25): "Luger." Matthew intones breathlessly.
VJockey (04:57:34): *Luger draws his sonic knife to carve the tubes from the bomb. No He wasn't going to rely on a timer... he instead moves forward to jam the the knife as hard as he could into the core - to gouge it open and force the bomb into it!&
Fri Freeman (04:58:23): Elena: "Don't worry everyone. Senior Luger just remembered that he left something behind. He;ll come back."
tengusaur (04:59:03): Luger's knife stabs straight into the core, causing the tubes to shudder and try to retract. The whole heart starts to twitch like crazy, and a psychic scream resonates in Luger's head!
tengusaur (04:59:12): There is a huge hole in the core now! (continue)
aldo salt (04:59:18): Matthew stares at Elena's mech, face etched with disbelief.
VJockey (04:59:31): "Yesssss.... Scream you bastard. Scream in agony!"
Meraxa (04:59:33): Richard: No, no! He doesn't have to... there's gotta be...
VJockey (05:00:15): *He slams the bomb as hard as he could into the hole, Forcing the Leo to leap backwards as he swung his explosive rifle into play!
VJockey (05:00:32): "Scream like very man, woman and child you devoured... "
VJockey (05:00:48): And he pulls the trigger - firing a shot right at the bomb+
Drascin (05:01:02): Samus: "It is screaming. It will be done soon"
VJockey (05:01:05): "because you'll be joining them-"
tengusaur (05:02:13): The shot hits the bomb, interrupting Luger's quip.
tengusaur (05:02:29): The whole space colony blows up in one huge nuclear explosion!
tengusaur (05:02:49): The Infected that were close enough to it are annihilated by the blast.
tengusaur (05:03:14): The rest of them twitch and bend down in pain. After that, they don't really do anything, with no central intelligence to guide their actions anymore.
tengusaur (05:03:43): The bright explosion lingers on...
Fri Freeman (05:04:42): Elena: "So pretty..."
tengusaur (05:04:45): You can see a single dark spot, with it as its background.
Wyverncakes (05:04:56): Josh: "... At least the job is done now."
tengusaur (05:05:01): A spot that is slowly being propelled in your direction.
Meraxa (05:05:33): Richard: ...I... Don't...
Overman Zappa (05:05:39): Gainer: "Something's coming!"
tengusaur (05:05:47): The spot grows bigger now.
Drascin (05:05:58): Samus: "Indeed" What does a scan reveal about it?
tengusaur (05:06:16): It's a critically-damaged Leo, with its armor shattered and all of its limbs gone, except for one arm still holding a gun. It's flying backwards, propelled by the explosion.
Meraxa (05:06:46): Richard: M-Maybe...! *Richard flies towards it trying to catch the remains*
Drascin (05:06:50): Any signs of life inside?
Wyverncakes (05:06:50): Josh: "... I'm not sure if that Leo's defective or not."
aldo salt (05:07:14): Matthew, holding back a cry of 'Luger!', toggles active scanning on the object.
tengusaur (05:07:25): There is one. If you can call something so wrecked with infections to be called alive.
VJockey (05:07:59): [A violent coughing rings through communications.]
Wyverncakes (05:08:22): Josh: "So how much did you have to slip the Grim Reaper to let you off the hook this time?"
VJockey (05:08:23): "Gott... I think I need an eyepatch for my eyepatch. I saw that flash with my bad eye..."
Meraxa (05:08:38): Richard: HE'S ALIVE!
VJockey (05:08:53): "...I gave him a monster with a god complex... I think that earned me another year or three..."
Drascin (05:08:54): Samus in the meantime is going to send the guys at the White chalice a message to have the stretcher and infirmary ready
Fri Freeman (05:09:33): Elena: "See! What did I say? I've been waiting for you, Senior Luger. Did you get what you left behind?"
aldo salt (05:09:36): "Luger!" Matthew says. "I see you lack the decency to die gloriously in combat!" He smiles.
VJockey (05:10:15): "Yes... yes I did Elena-"
VJockey (05:10:27): [And Luger lets out a laugh which turns into a series of hacking coughs.]
VJockey (05:10:49): "And you expect me to have decency? Did yor brains get eaten?"
aldo salt (05:11:15): "…Mechwarrior Luger?" Matthew asks, voice filled with concern. Then he thinks he gets it. "You soaked up too much radiation from the blast."
aldo salt (05:11:58): "…it was a foolish fancy, I admit."
Meraxa (05:12:28): Richard: We can wash him... or something... Use the jabber to get... back... *Richard threw maybe too many punches this time, and Ideigi fades away into nothing but a man in a Normal Suit*
tengusaur (05:12:53): All the Infected are gone. Whatever is left of them is currently being destroyed by your allies (or salvaged for resources and research).

Drascin (05:13:57): Samus: "Carry Amwulf's mech to the hangar. I will get Ideigi's pilot" and you're going to be towed into the hangar by a ship, Richard
aldo salt (05:14:42): "Come: lets go pump you with medicines."

Drascin (05:15:02): and after leaving him delicately on the ground, the Hunter-1 turns towards the outside
