VJockey (22:28:44): Ryou is making sure his AC is armed to the teeth and ready for battle.

Werter throws one of them straight at Nextic, making it 'drive' on the ground like a normal wheel, then spins around and throws the other horizontally, like a boomerang. +

Aero (22:46:26): Nextic's Conetzin seem rather simple, they're just heads with stubby arms and legs. Flying horrifying heads that shoot tentacles that can pierce through a steel plate.

Peter Kampschroeder (22:48:34): *"Eibon! Rifle!" "Roger." The Zweilicht draws forth its huge-ass rifle, a railgun as long as the mecha itself, and proceeds to start firing single shots at the Conetzins while it skates around. Long-range support, go!+
Aero (22:49:27): [Werter] Nextic runs right into a building to lose the two plasma wheels, both of them easily rip through the building he was hiding in but there isn't a a single sign of him...that's when 4 different Mitl emerge from another building and head straight at you. [React]

Cubey@aol.pl (22:53:08): *Texotic Pilhua suddenly stops its ascent - and swoops down instead. Texotic creates a mitl blade in its hand, a sword of blue crystal that slashes and hacks at the mitl as Pilhua tries to evade past them. And after the mitl, the Conetzin themselves are the target!+

Aero (22:53:24): [Laura] They fall rather easily as the energy blasts hit them, all of them don't seem particularly tanky. Still, they can recognize a threat and fire some Mitl in your direction. [React]
Wyverncakes (22:53:27): * But still, there were mooks to be disposed of, and Julia took aim with her railgun and sent off a few shots into them+
VJockey (22:53:43): "They were all pretty clever in their own weird way."

Aero (22:55:17): [Ryou] See, since Laura did it a lot of them are now trying to hide behind cover. The machinegun fire only takes out two...and to make matters slightly worse you're detecting something on your radar.

Aero (22:55:49): ???: "Of all people it had to be you and the Chalice causing a mess here."
Aero (22:56:03): Ryou, there's a lot of ACs coming towards the battlefield right now.

Fri Freeman (22:56:35): Herb: "Reinforcements!"
kamikasei (22:56:37): *Laura raises a hand towards the attacking mitl and shapes a series of Sophium barriers between her and them, simultaneously dodging to the side! But the dodge is the main thing - fully expecting her barriers to be penetrated, she uses them not to block the mitl, but to reshape around them, tangling up the cable behind the spear head - leaving the attacking Conetzin tethered to a mass of Sophium under Laura's control! If this plan works out, she'll swing the whole mass of them as a flail at the ones attacking Texotic!+

Aero (22:57:44): [Werter] The spears are dodged...for a moment they suddenly swing around after missing and penetrate through Prometheus several times, slamming him into a school before retracting the Mitl. The damage isn't particularly severe though.

Aero (22:59:08): [Roads and Julia] The more high powered shots blow through their cover and another 5 of the Conetzin are taken out. Their response is the same. Mitls flying in your direction. [React both of you.]

Roads puts the Zweilicht's new crazy speed to good use, throwing in a dash move or two as he puts some buildings between him and the pointy spears of death...and keeps dodging, as apparently they treat an apartment block as concealment not cover.+
Wyverncakes (23:00:54): * If tentacles are coming her way, then she'll just have to fend them off! The railgun switches to its scattershot setting, Julia opening fire on the mitls to shred them up before they get to her!+

Aero (23:01:37): [Texotic and Laura] They indeed do penetrate those barriers and get tangled up with each other. After that it's rather simple for Texotic to cut them to pieces.

Aero (23:13:26): [Amuro] Your control on Earth feels a bit off, still each Fin Funnel is able to take out a Conetzin with little trouble...but you suddenly sense a lot of attacks coming from every direction. [React!]

Aero (23:18:34): [Roads] Another four are taken out with dedicated sniping...of course the bigger problem you have now is that one of the Alliance ACs just opened fire on you. Caspian specifically...and there is a lot of fire. Missiles, laser shots, and regular ass bullets are coming right at you. [React]
Aero (23:20:15): [Herb] All out Dakka finishes off the last of the Conetzins, of course you run into the same problem that Roads did. SUDDENLY AC. A very large Linear Cannon is fired at ya. [React]
Aero (23:21:40): [Julia] THEY'RE ALL GONE, YOU GET AN AC ALSO. Missiles and very high powered shots from a rapid-fire Sniper Rifle (Yes that's a thing) head towards the Null Shift. [React]
Peter Kampschroeder (23:22:02): *Roads does a dodge roll to the ground and ditches the rifle, it vanishing into little particles of light as Roads pulls out his two shotguns instead. He starts doing the macross, shooting down what missiles he can while running between buildings avoid the rest of the shots. "Okay, who taught you to be a mercenary, because they're a terrible teacher. I'll give you better lessons."

Wyverncakes (23:23:09): * Missiles? Well it just so happens that the Null Shift still has chaffs (though they're very rarely used)... and now's the time to use some! As for the sniper rifle shots, Julia uses a few puffs of gas to mask her movements and then starts trying to get out of the sniper's line of fire!+
Fri Freeman (23:23:15): Herb :"Hey, why are you attacking me?" He says as he joins all of his plasma arms to block the linear cannon
Wyverncakes (23:23:59): Julia: "Same reason they're attacking all of us, Herb!"
Aero (23:24:40): [Texotic] Meanwhile, outside of the land of mercs and betrayal. Nextic just takes the blade stabs to the body instead and responds by punching Texotic Pilhua into the ground. "Did you really think I would allow myself to be outnumbered and outgunned so easily?" He winds up for another barrage of punches. [React]
VJockey (23:24:58): *Ryou's going to launch missiles. All over the place... because they weren't targetted on anything they went all over the place!... Then Ryou locked on to Evangel and they swerved about prevent him from dodging to the sides without getting hit. Ryou himself was just firing his machineguns once more to chip away at the blue AC's armor+

Yes, it's wielding a second machinegun while the left arm still has that laser blade attached, which shouldn't make any sense in AC laws. Naiza(?) targets Evangel too, unless someone else tries to intervene. "Says the one ignoring the aliens. I'm pretty sure being a Dominant means being able to assess threats too."+
kamikasei (23:27:13): *These ACs may be a problem, but Nextic's the real threat here! Laura flies in from the side, at the last minute forming her Sophium cloud around her into the vague shape of a squat, threaded mech, which slams noodly tentacle arms into Nextic Pilhua from the side to throw off his attack!+
Cubey@aol.pl (23:27:18): "You!" It's better to sound loud out of anger than out of fear at the sudden enemy maneuver. And a maneuver so successful, too.
tengusaur (23:28:28): * Werter still jumps high up into the sky... But then he extends a bunch of plasma tentacles from Prometheus' back, and tries to use them to grab Nextic's arm from the back in a sneaky attack! kamikasei (00:01:17): *Laura waits for Julia's barrage to clear, then wraps Nextic Pilhua in those tentacly arms, winding around him repeatedly - before spinning him in them, around and around and up into the air to crash down again, off balance! The arms themselves fragment too, shards stabbing and seeping into the alien machine to weaken it, as the bulk returns to her...+

Fortunately, Teootl doesn't know how the battlefield looked before he entered it - so she's able to reach out to the Sophium she used to propel her flashlight-gun earlier, to turn it back torwards her and fire a focused beam at the parts of the leg trying to close in on her, giving her room to flee!+
