It was well armed, well armored but honestly she was still getting used to it. Scythe was checking over the gigantic new rifle she got with hers while Dagger was ensuring his weapons were working right.]

Wyverncakes (02:32:01): The shuttle landing in the Cydonian region... and it's already clear by the massive facility built that someone's definitely set up shop.
Wyverncakes (02:32:12): It's a strange kind of five-sided pyramid. Weird design choice.
Wyverncakes (02:32:46): And you're not the only ones here either! This landing area was decided on by the Britannian military's forces... and you can see their own transport ships close to where the shuttle lands!

Wyverncakes (02:33:51): Shuttle pilot: "This is weird... I'm not picking anyone up on the comms."
Wyverncakes (02:34:07): Yeah, he's going through all the frequencies and codes used by the Britannians. Nothing.

Wyverncakes (02:35:09): And most peculiar... is the fact that there doesn't even seem to be any sign of struggle.

Wyverncakes (02:47:53): These Britannian guys, they're all goners. But the really curious thing though... is some of them don't look to be Britannian military at all. Some look like ordinary civilians, some looking like they were killed abruptly, and others killed over an extended period. Some even seem to have been trying to flee from this facility, others trying to run further inside!
Wyverncakes (02:48:14): It's a full-blown mystery, that's for sure. And as you travel down, finally...
VJockey (02:48:21): "...What the hell went on in here..."

Wyverncakes (03:19:37): [Isaac] You charge towards Ulysses, the Dullahans' traitorous leader moving not to attack, but to defend as he brings his arms up! "Chips, is it ready yet?" And then that same mysterious voice playing back! "Activating... now-"

Wyverncakes (03:20:46): Isaac's sword slashes through one of Ulysses's arms, causing him to gasp in pain... but as your sword continues on it suddenly gets caught in his other hand as it's sheathed in a field of energy! Your attack's stopped cold, Isaac, and from there you just get kicked halfway across the room by Ulysses... and damn that's gotta hurt!

VJockey (03:22:15): *Goddamnit, no time for being shocked! Cora's gonna get Scythe back into the fight before motioning to the sniper at Ulysses' on squad. Cora brings up her tri-barreled Machinegun and unleashes a hail of Luna-titanium tipped rounds at them while Scythe takes aim!&
Wyverncakes (03:23:11): [Richard] As you charge at the Gloucesters, they spring away making use of the lesser gravity and their Slash Harkens before taking aim at you! But these aren't conventional Britannian weapons they're toting... no... these are... Ascalon anti-armor rifles/!?
Wyverncakes (03:23:28): Chips?: "Correct, Cora. Well, to an extent."
Wyverncakes (03:24:18): [Cora] The initial attack attack causes the troopers to scatter, one of them getting shot up a bit... you've got a few seconds before they return the favor so make it count, Scythe!

aldo salt (03:24:49): "Uh-uh!" The young Sinclair man gurgles as he gets to his feet. "…U…Ulysses!!! Don't you dare run away!"
Wyverncakes (03:24:59): Chips?: "Ulysses had a very interesting idea to make up for the loss of the fallen Dullahans."
Wyverncakes (03:25:33): "He and George Volschoft had been close friends in the distant past, and as it so happened, apparently the leader of the city of Yggdrasill was killed in the Inspectors' attacks as well."
VJockey (03:26:07): *Scythe fires a truly massive round at one of Ulysses' troops. Prefferably the one closest to the rest even if they scattered... because hopefully after impact... the electrical currents from the round as well as the ensuing explosion would catch them as well!+

What's underneath is a white cloak fashioned from an appropriated medical blanket. It's mostly just to hide that left arm that's still in a sling though.

Wyverncakes (03:31:31): [Richard] Ideigi's blade cleaves through the two Gloucesters... but one of them still gets a shot off! The round hits home, piercing through the knightly robo's shoulder! Yeah... those... really are Ascalons!
Meraxa (03:31:52): Richard: Ngh... looks like someone finally bothered giving Britannian hardware an upgrade.
VJockey (03:31:55): "Isaac. Don't try and stop me. Dozer. Chips. Sleuth. Oxide.... he's got to pay"
griefgathering (03:32:19): *And the tiny goddess is going to charge straight at those Gloucesters, drawing her gun with her good arm and firing on them with lightning shots!+
aldo salt (03:32:44): He cracks the mechanized knuckles of his powered suit. "Oh, he shall pay the price for his sins, Lady Anderson…I just intend to collect that debt FIRST."

Wyverncakes (03:59:19): [Cora] Your shot hurtles towards Ulysses... but the traitorous commander springs away with the greatest of ease! The Warp Cannon then hits the floor of the antechamber, chewing out a large, spherical hole in it... but Ulysses is unharmed. "You know... this suit's adrenal systems really are amazing. We used the data from the Tunnel Stalkers to make them. Hell, I don't even feel a thing from when Isaac cut off my hand!"

griefgathering (04:00:23): Neptune: "Next...!" *Backing off a bit, she takes aim at those Ascended. The gun gets drawn again as caped Neptune fires three rounds - an Earth shot, a Fire shot and lastly, a lightning shot. These shots aren't meant to actually hit her targets though, because the Earth shot forms a pillar of rock, which gets obliterated by the fire shot, creating a smokescreen! The lightning shot just sort of explodes for further distraction!&
Wyverncakes (04:00:48): [Isaac] "Arrogant as always!" Mongrel snapped back as he headbutted you right back! "... Not your place to give me a new callsign, Sinclair!" Both your helmets are dented pretty nastily from that, and you've both got pretty bad headache from it on top of everything else!

sketchbookfiend (04:46:43): Kuuga: "Alright, you got it!" Thumbs up and then holds out a hand to Isaac.
aldo salt (04:47:14): Isaac puts a leg on top of Kuuga's cupped hand.
frifreeman (04:48:04): Elena dashes toward the huge alien and stabs her knife at a fleshy part. Then she flies above and draaag the knife inside the flesh. "rip and tear!"+

Wyverncakes (04:50:11): [Elena] That flesh is fortunately quite a bit rotten. The Alien really didn't have much say in what resources it used for this form... but a bony hand's already snatching the Aries out of the air, psionic power being forced down onto the mobile suit as it buckles, cracks and begins breaking under the strain!

VJockey (04:53:37): *Cora's going to have to try to finish Ulysses off quickly then so she can help everyone else! She's going fire off smoke grenades, let loose with all her weapons and try to generally herd Ulysses into a pattern!&
frifreeman (04:55:40): Elena tries to escape by firing her thruster toward the alien's face as powerful as she can+
aldo salt (04:56:30): "You had a family, Brett Kendall!" Isaac says as he picks himself up. "You had a band of comrades…brave men and women who would support you, care for you, defend you, tend to your wounds, share a cigarette and a smile, and even die for you! In the end, I could not bear to forsake that family, but you did so eagerly! What does that say about you, eh???"
Wyverncakes (04:57:27): [Richard and Elena] Fortunately Elena's not alone in this endeavor! Richard's slash carves off a chunk of its body, causing it to just radiate hatred and loosen its grip so Elena can escape! Her charge forward also winds up being a ram into the monster's "head" as it were... but its response is to just telekinetically swing its severed arm up to smash into Ideigi, aiming for its damaged arm!
Wyverncakes (04:59:34): [Cora] "Another smokescreen? I don't need to be an Ascended to deal with this, Cora!" And indeed Ulysses doesn't as his energy fist cuts through the mist... giving him the opportunity to try to swerve and dodge your huge assault for the most part... and move into position to fire numerous cluster bombs at you to finish you off for good!

VJockey (05:00:48): *Cora's going to leap up and fire at the cluster bombs just as Scythe takes the shot!+
Wyverncakes (05:01:47): And you know what the biggest advantage Cora had during this whole sequence was? Actually bothering to give an order.
Wyverncakes (05:02:18): [Cora & Scythe] Scythe's sniper rifle shot blows through not Ulysses's head... not his heart... but through his throat.
Wyverncakes (05:03:06): And the leader of Exvoritam Filios just collapses, staring angrily at the both of you... choking futilely for a few seconds before collapsing.

aldo salt (05:11:00): He raises his power-fisted knuckles. "Now pay for your sins with this beating I shall bestow upon you!"
sketchbookfiend (05:11:11): Kuuga: "If that's really what made you into who you are, then I can only admit this now." *Kuuga slowly walks towards Mongrel as he transforms into Rising Mighty form. "You have my pity, Kendall-san..." SUDDENLY, with his foot burning red, Kuuga does a high kick into Mongrel's chest+
Kors (05:11:47): With the right arm gone, Ranna had to lean on the ERPPC as her main gun as she fires it at the alien.. thing. "Perhaps we can stop the plan still."

Wyverncakes (05:12:36): "I know that's how the Chalice usually works and how it typically fixes things, but... well not this time."
aldo salt (05:13:42): "Perhaps not." Isaac says to the…the not-Chips. "But we will never know unless we try, eh?"
aldo salt (05:14:13): He starts humming a tune to himself.
frifreeman (05:14:19): Elena keeps her distance this time and circles around and pepper the alien with bullets from her chain rifle. "bullets through rotting flesh... What sound. This brings back memories. If only senior luger is here."+
griefgathering (05:14:23): *Because Vert is out of commission from having a blast with the Ascended (ha ha), Purple Heart is going to send her back. "Sorry, Vert. I'll listen to your lecture later...but for now..." She's also going to summon a ring of energy swords around herself as she quickly approaches the remaining Ascended!&
Wyverncakes (05:15:23): [Yusuke] You perform your high kick, shooting towards Mongrel... but, well, anger and psychic powers never lead to anything good! Mongrel holds out his hand, roaring angrily, as you just... completely stop in midair! "Don't-" he begins pounding you into the ground! "YOU DARE-" Pound pound pound. "PITY ME!" And now for some more twisted use of his powers to begin bending your leg with the intention of snapping it entirely!

aldo salt (05:17:12): *"I think NOT, Brett!" Isaac charges at Mongrel and tries to strike him in the head with a classic Britannian Spinning Back Kick!+
Wyverncakes (05:18:05): [Ranna] Your blast smashes into the alien, not just blowing off but genuinely eradicating a large portion of its body! It collapses to the ground, only to rise back up in a moment of fury and gesture at you! The remaining troopers under Ulysses command and the Gloucesters suddenly are surrounding you, opening fire with their shots also all telekinetically being steered towards you!

aldo salt (05:18:19): "I am the one you should be focusing on…you pitiable excuse for a man!"
aldo salt (05:18:23): Isaac adds.
sketchbookfiend (05:18:36): Kuuga: "Ggh- if I didn't...then you and this whole planet would be going sky high- SO ACCEPT IT!" *Kuuga twists mid air, trying to wrench himself free while also coating himself in fire, for just a moment- a single fraction of a second- Kuuga's shadow on the ground would seem more sinister, and the Rider throws a TORRENT of flame into Mongrel's face+
Kors (05:18:54): She uses the broken arm half as a club, half as a shield as she twists and turns, blazing away with the torso mounted beam cannons!+

Wyverncakes (05:19:28): [Purple Heart] And unfortuantely, the Ascended is fresh out of its own swords to use against you! It's all it can do to try to telekinetically wrestle control a handful of your blades and try to stab you with them!

VJockey (05:20:55): *Cora's going to help Ranna by blasting those Gloucesters with the Warp cannon! Hopefully the clanner will be able to weather the rest of the damage.+
Wyverncakes (05:22:10): [Yusuke and Isaac] Yeah, a problem with that is Isaac? You're going to be feeling the heat from those flames first and fire does not follow rules of friendly, oh you get the idea. You're cooked pretty badly... but so is Mongrel AND your kick knocks him away and adds to the list of injuries inflicted on his face! Rising up, it's clear he's not intent to let all of this go unanswered...
griefgathering (05:22:32): *Purple Heart responds by suddenly flipping into the air a'la Heavyarms, leaving those swords behind! It doesn't quite make sense until she detonates them, hoping that the blasts take down the Ascended!+
Wyverncakes (05:22:47): "Then ask your friend- your Japanese friend you don't seem to really bother annoying at all about it- to just leave-"

aldo salt (05:23:43): "Geh!" Isaac tries to bat out the flames. "Have you had enough, Brett? I have yet to pay you back for breaking my family sword, Oh No I haven't…"
Wyverncakes (05:23:52): A few more hatches of the chamber move aside, giving him a means of escape... and after a few moments of hesitation... he makes a break for it!

Wyverncakes (05:26:51): [Elena, Ranna, and Cora] Fortunately between Ranna's impromptu club and Cora's supporting fire, the remaining mooks are blown away, and Elena keeps the pressure on the monstrous alien as its body seems to be failing it at long last...
aldo salt (05:27:14): He pulls out a slim black box with a switch and small antennae on it!
aldo salt (05:28:10): "–that showed me how to set up demolition charges once!" He presses the button.
Wyverncakes (05:28:19): Mongrel's eyes go wide...
Wyverncakes (05:28:25): ... Riiiiight before the explosions begin to start!
Wyverncakes (05:28:51): Some of them actually extremely close to you all, and one even managing to blast the alien from directly underneath it!
Wyverncakes (05:29:22): Mongrel himself is seemingly caught in a blast too, screaming in pain as he struggles to get himself back up to his feet!
Wyverncakes (05:29:32): Mongrel: "... Yeah..."
Wyverncakes (05:29:40): There's a glint in his eyes.

aldo salt (05:29:44): "Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, twas his intent/To blow up the Houses of Parliment! Three score barrels of powder below…!" Isaac sing-songs in mockery.

aldo salt (05:30:20): Isaac keeps singing loudly. "…poor old England to overthrow–"

Wyverncakes (05:30:42): Suddenly all those fragments, big and small, just got telekinetically pulled into your back.

aldo salt (05:32:51): Bloods starts trickling from his mouth and nose, and he falls to his knees.

Wyverncakes (05:33:21): There's another escape path opened up to him, and Mongrel takes advantage of it... right before everywhere else gets sealed up on you, explosions still going off every which way!
Wyverncakes (05:33:33): Chips: "Well... that was... unexpected, all things considered."
aldo salt (05:33:52): He reaches out a half-clenched hand towards Mongrel…trying to catch him trying to stop him–
aldo salt (05:33:54): –he falls flat on his face.
Wyverncakes (05:33:57): "But this facility was about to be abandoned by us anyways."

aldo salt (05:34:20): You can still hear breathing from him…but it sounds bubbly.

Kors (05:37:51): Verfolger's weapons are turned to blast duty as Ranna tries to blast them a way out.
sketchbookfiend (05:38:09): Kuuga clenches his fists as he watches his comrade dieing. "D-I...ugh..." The Rider's eyes light up and flicker as he looks for a place he can blow a hole out of. "I'll get him out! I PROMISE!" He is going to Rising Rider a kick a hole right through the way they came in if he has to.

Meraxa (05:39:57): Richard: Uuwwwhhhhaaaaaa! *Richard meanwhile? Has a similar idea, aiming straight for what had once been their entrance.* SHINING BODY! *Ideigi's form flares up in light, getting straight to high speed pummelling that which stands in his way!+
griefgathering (05:40:04): Purple Heart: *More swords in coordination with the other's attempts to blast their way out!+ "I can't use anything else to help with only one hand." She looks at the others. "The rest up to you!"
Wyverncakes (05:40:14): And fortunately between the three of you, you blast your way free of the containment!
Wyverncakes (05:40:35): From now... it's just a clear run for everyone to escape to the surface... and maybe... just maybe save Isaac's life!
aldo salt (05:40:41): Is anyone going to try and patch Isaac's suit?

Meraxa (05:42:20): Richard: Cora, hop on! We've got to get him back to the shuttle!
VJockey (05:43:16): [Cora doesn't answer, but she complies, as does Scythe!]
Wyverncakes (05:43:35): You all make your escape, the facility blowing up all around you!
Meraxa (05:43:49): And with that, its shonen speed flicker straight back to the shuttle.
Wyverncakes (05:44:00): Dammit Isaac, you really would've made Oxide proud with the way this place is falling apart around eveyone...
Wyverncakes (05:44:16): And as you escape... off in the distance you know that weird pyramid I mentioned before?

Wyverncakes (05:46:30): And before you can do anything about it, its thrusters reach their full strength, and it launches, flying off into the Martian skies.

aldo salt (05:48:08): "Could–?" He asks softly.
aldo salt (05:48:40): He lifts his quivering arm. In it's hand...
aldo salt (05:49:16): …in it's hand is the hilt of the Sinclair family sword, grasped tightly with fingers that must be pale white.
aldo salt (05:50:17): "–you get Richard to reforge this?"
aldo salt (05:50:33): "He knows *cough* how."
VJockey (05:50:39): "...I'll make sure of it.. I promise..."

VJockey (05:51:12): "I mean... you can do it yourself! You're going to be alright!"
VJockey (05:51:40): [Cora choked the last word as she took the hilt from Isaac.]

aldo salt (05:51:53): "…Well…I certainly hope so." Isaac mumbles in reply.

VJockey (05:53:26): [You probably didn't even have to ask, Cora's helmet was already pulling back.]
aldo salt (05:54:26): Isaac's two…it's a blood-caked mess. He's let his hair get tangled too.
aldo salt (05:55:02): *His face, that is. Is a blood-caked mess.
aldo salt (05:56:00): He reaches up a hand.
aldo salt (05:56:21): "A tear…Cora Anderson?" He says softly, trying to wipe it off.
VJockey (05:56:27): [He's going to make it... he's going to make it.. he... he's not going to make it... Just seeing his face makes her acknowledge that...]
VJockey (05:56:46): "...I'm about to lose another teammate... another member of my family..."

aldo salt (05:59:17): He swallows briefly. "Don't cry for me, Cora. Because I'm going to fight to live, fight with everythin–!"
aldo salt (05:59:30): His eyes roll back in his head and he goes into convulsions.

Wyverncakes (06:00:19): Unfortunately...

Wyverncakes (06:01:17): Fate had no intent of letting Isaac Sinclair reunite with the White Chalice, getting a hero's welcome rather than a traitor's.
