Mission 003: "The Angels' First Advent"
Nerdo: Van, Lynnette, Tsukasa, Van, as well as Frank and a couple of his squadmates have been sent out to patrol and look for danger in the foresty mountains and canyons that the White Chalice is currently making its way through.
Nerdo: It looks suspiciously like every forest in every Hollywood movie ever made, albeit drier and more ominous
Nerdo: How are you passing the time as you patrol?
SJ: Sadly, seeing as how Sgt. Lynette Bishop cannot enjoy the comfort of a cabin, she cannot drink tea while in the sky. That, and after her previous combat experience, the witch-girl mutters an old song as she flies, trying to calm herself.
Tengu: Frank keeps being vigilant for any incoming danger and doesn't talk much. He doesn't like the feel of this place - too easy to set up an ambush, even with large mecha.
Shaun: Tsukasa's walking and taking pictures at the same time, not really paying attention to the squad. Aaah nature, so picturesque.
Nerdo: (By the way, the first Van was supposed to be Josh)
Steam: Josh has been taking his time exploring, combing through things very carefully
Steam: If anything, at least some familiarity with the area so he doesn't accidentally fall off a cliff or something
Nerdo: From their vantage point and caution, Josh and Frank are the first people to notice something off about their surroundings. However, that's only a couple of seconds before the problem becomes readily apparently to everyone.
Nerdo: From beneath camouflage nets and behind rocks, six largish white and purple mecha (http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b253/Zappa_Slave/Other/UGGrunts.jpg) burst into visibility, brandishing ugly-looking rifles.
Steam: Josh's eyes narrow.
Steam: "You guys again!"
Nerdo: A voice comes over everyone's communicators on a wide band. "We are Adventus. Surrender and disarm immediately, in the name of world peace!"
SJ: Lynne turns to Josh. "Who are they!?"
Steam: Josh quickly brings the Aile's weapon systems online and activates its hover board system. "Well, as they just said... they're Adventus toadies."
Nerdo: Adventus Officer: "We hereby seize your mechanoids and weapons of war. Power down, or we WILL shoot."
Shaun: Click went Tsukasa's camera. "They sound demanding." His tone is relaxed.
SJ: Lynette: "M-Maybe we could talk it over?"
SJ: Lynette: "We can't give you our weapons."
Tengu: Frank does not even bother responding to the newcomers. He already knows how this is going to end. "Go behind cover. Inconspiciously.", he orders his wingmen.
Nerdo: Adventus Officer: "We're not here to negotiate. You've got five seconds to start complying."
Steam: Josh's eyes narrowed. "They probably won't settle for just us. They'll make us take them back to the Chalice and make that disarm too..."
SJ: Lynne obeys that order, hovering to get behind her team.
Steam: "And in that case..." The Aile's Cypher ignites its beam blade, and Joshua readies his shield as well.
Nerdo: At the movement and offensive actions, the enemy starts to open fire!
Nerdo: (Initiative: Lynette, Josh, Frank, Tsukasa)
Nerdo: (Enemies: Advent x6)
Nerdo: (Lynette)
SJ: *Once the blazes begin, Lynette's heart races into a "fight-or-flight" mode. She descends rapidly to dodge the incoming fire, and once below, she moves herself upwards, aiming at one of the Advent units near Josh. The witch fires several shots to the center of the mass.+
Nerdo: [Lynette] The Advent raises a shield, which fills with deep dents at the rifle fire, and it takes a step back. Raising its own rifle, what seems like a bolt of lightning leaps out of the barrel and arcs toward Lynette. (React Lynette)
Nerdo: (Josh)
SJ: *She yelps. Knowing she didn't have the immediate momentum to descend or move out of the way, she raises her shields as strong as she can muster in that very moment. A blue circle of runes meant to protect.+
Steam: *Deciding not to just go ahead and rush in, especially since all his allies are so tiny, Josh instead has the Aile bring its Impulse Cannons up and into firing positions. "You know, none of your friends have taken the Aile down yet... and I can tell you none of you will either!" And with that he fires off two blasts from them, each aimed at a different Advent.+
Nerdo: [Lynette] Lynette manages to dissipate most of the attack with her magical shield. The charge that does get through, however, does some electrical damage to her Striker Unit, making it less responsive. Also her hair looks like Perrine's after her special attack.
Nerdo: [Josh] One Advent ducks behind a tree Front Mission-style, but the other takes some serious damage to its shield arm, rendering it useless. While he's focusing on those two, however, a third Advent circles behind the Chevalier and lobs some kind of grenade at his back (react Josh)
Nerdo: (Frank)
SJ: Lynette gasps, never any more grateful for having reacted so fast, and keeping her hair on a tail. "I'm going to have to stand back. My unit is malfunctioning. I'll try to cover you as much as I can!" A whimper "My hair..."
SJ: &

Nerdo: (Lynette support)
SJ: *As Lynne moves back from the battle, she sees the Advent unit. In that moment of danger, she aims at the skinny connection between the arm and the chest, and fires.+
Steam: *"Sneaking up from behind won't do you any good!" The Aile dashes forward and then quickly spun around, courstesy of a thruster burst from one of its cannons as Josh shoots at the Advent with his Cypher Gun.+
Tengu: "We'll support you." Frank fires a long burst from his chaingun at the base of a large tree, causing it to collapse on the damaged Adventus unit. This is just a distraction - the real attack comes from the other Lupus suits, that cover the enemy with fire!+
Tengu: * (for that above action)
Nerdo: [Lynette and Josh] The Advent takes serious damage from Lynette and Josh's counterattacks, its right arm hanging uselessly and its torso armor seriously melted afterwards. However, the projectile it threw at Josh explodes and coats the Aile in a quick-hardening clay cement, like the kind they use to patch space colonies. Aile Chevalier's torso and arms are locked into their current position, slowing it greatly.
Steam: Josh grits his teeth. "Shit!" At any rate, this still didn't get him entirely out of the fight just yet...
Nerdo: [Frank] The Advent has no problem stepping out of the way of the falling tree, not being from the Galactic Empire, but it does dodge directly into the crossfire, losing its shield and a large portion of its armor to the onslaught.
Nerdo: (Tsukasa)
Shaun: *Tsukasa calmly moves to the side in the firefight as he straps on his Driver and holds up a card quickly. "Henshin!" Slotting the card in, he closed his Driver. KAMENRIDE: DECADE! boomed a male voice as 10 forms surround him in a henshin shield as they converge on him, forming his armor. Brushing his hands, he draws his RideBooker, twisting it into gun mode as he returned fire at the various joints of a single Advent unit, one hand reaching for his cards.+
Nerdo: The Advent is taken by surprise by the powerful attacks, though its armor still protects it reasonably well. It has to step back behind a rock to avoid it...although, rather suddenly, another grenade comes out from behind said cover, heading for Tsukasa (react Tsukasa).
Nerdo: One Advent standing by itself charges toward Van's Zoid, tromping through the underbrush and leveling its weapon at him, shooting out another lightning-bolt-like projectile (Van react, then act)
Shaun: *Tsukasa's going to notice that coming at him, and instead of putting up a shield or anything, is going to leap into the air. For about 40 feet into the trees.+
Nerdo: Tsukasa passes the grenade, which creates a neat pile of instant-hardening cement on the forest floor.
Salsa: *Van sees the attack coming. "Not gonna let that hit!" The Shield Liger jumps aside and well clear before leveling the cannons under its mouth at the Advent and, with a roar, firing.+
Nerdo: Van can't quite dodge the curving path of the lightning bolt, which fries some armor and several sensor systems. On the other hand, most of the left half of the Advent is blasted and smashed by superior firepower before it can limp behind cover from the Shield Liger.
Nerdo: Suddenly, something very odd occurs in the air above the battlefield!
Nerdo: Sparks of color and things that look oddly like very large luminescent feathers flash through the sky and suddenly, where there was just sun and sky before, half a dozen large battleship-like objects appear, following a pair of...fighters?
SJ: Lynette: "More of them!?"
Nerdo: Adventus Officer: "What in the hell? Shit, still on the taunt chann--"

Nerdo: (New Initiative: Lynette, Josh, Frank, Tsukasa, Milfie, Forte)
Jisu: Unknown #1: "Sorry, but could I ask you something?"
Steam: Josh: "Make it quick!"
Jisu: ???: "Is this the fleet from the White Chalice, by any chance?"
Steam: Oh wow. He didn't expect to hear that!
Steam: Josh: "This is a detachment from that fleet, yes! Now who are you?"
Tengu: Frank: "That's us. Were you sent to support us?"
Jisu: ???: "Ah. I'm sorry, I'm--"
Inc: ???: "Damn it Milfeulle!"
Jisu: Milfeulle: "Forteee, it's scary. Can't we just retreat?"
Inc: Forte: "If we knew which way was leading BACK, sure! Where are we, anyhow?!"
Jisu: Milfeulle: "I dunno! None of the reports said there were supposed to be any enemies out here!"

Inc: Forte: "No kidding. But now we've got... Oh, great, that's six MORE enemies down there!"
Jisu: Milfeulle: "Wah, I'm sorry..."
Nerdo: (Milfeulle)
SJ: *Lynette finds herself not in the best of situations. Taking advantage of the chaos around her, a fight too focused on the big ones around her, she continues ascending, to get behind her comrades with a greater vantage point. Once there, she realizes her tandem firing would only attract attention, so she does something else: She aims against one of the faster advent units that may have not seen her, tries to calm her heart, and fires a charged shot.+
Nerdo: (Not quite your turn again yet, Lynne)
Jisu: *"Anyway, these guys are chasing us!" The pink fighter turns back and starts to fire its railguns on one of the Spards. "Could you maybe help us out?"+
SJ: ((Sorry!))
Inc: Forte: "I don't like asking for help, but... White Chalice crew, requesting cover. We'll assist as soon as we can."
Nerdo: [Milfie] The Spard's combat algorithms weren't exactly expecting the thing it was chasing to suddenly turn around now that they were in an atmosphere, or to be in an atmosphere for that matter, so its response is sluggish. Milfie's guns perforate its forward armor easily, and it returns somewhat half-assed beamspam in her direction, joined by the nearest Barmell (react Milfie)
Jisu: Milfie: "We're sorry to bother you, but this is really important!"
Nerdo: (Forte)
Jisu: *Milfie moves to the side, but still manages to get hit. "Uwaah! Owww..."+
Tengu: Frank: "We have mostly anti-ground units against flying targets. We'll help as much as we can."
Inc: *Forte chooses to try and break the path ahead. Looking at the group of Advent, she fires one of the two Railguns into the one closest to being directly in her way. She readies missiles for her next salvo. "Milfie, keep moving for now! We'll be safer once we're near their crew!"+
Jisu: Milfie: "Okay!"
Nerdo: One of the damaged Advents was not expecting an aerial attack, and takes a heavy-duty railgun shot right in the head, losing that and an arm. It's more or less out of the fight now, and attempts to retreat.
Nerdo: *[Forte]
Nerdo: Three of the remaining Advents rally to cover each other and focus fire on the Aile Chevalier, lightning bolts leaping from three different guns towards Josh. (Josh react)
Nerdo: (Lynnette)
Steam: * Josh's snorts as he sees the Advents come at him and, with the Aile's arms more or less locked down, he instead disengages the hoverboard, causing the machine to drop down to the ground to dodge the shots. "Your friend screwed up the one chance you had of beating me!" Knees bending down, the Aile's two Impulse Cannons moved up again to fire away at the Advents in retaliation as its shield was angled to protect the machine.+
SJ: *Lynette ignores the retreating unit. She takes the time to ascend towards her team's position... and to those that joined them. She takes advantage of the chaos around her, probably taking note of the newcomers rather than on the small witch flying with a damaged Striker Unit. She ascends towards the clouds. Once there, seeing Josh's attack, she fires several rounds at the Advent units that may escape from his attack.+
Nerdo: [Josh] Josh's shield gets a nasty shock that transfers through to his arm's (useless anyway) motor systems, but in return, he knocks over one of the Advents, which explodes.
Steam: Josh can't help but grin a little. "One down."
Nerdo: [Lynette] And Lynette's rifle fire disables another. The third from that group, the least damaged and possibly the team leader, angles its head upward at the attacker...then quickly ducks away as one of the floating ships overhead fires a barrage of lasers in a downward angle. (React Lynette, Josh, Tsukasa)
Nerdo: (Also Josh go)
Steam: * And now that he's got one of those Advents down, Josh has the Aile's Impulse Cannons flip around again onto its back and reactivate the overboard. One blast of thrust later and it rockets forward, straight at one of the Advents from before to ram it with his shield!-

Nerdo: [Josh] Josh's shield meets the Advent's as it attempts to hold its ground, lasers crashing down into the foliage from above and splintering trees (Josh continue)
Shaun: *ATTACKRIDE: INVISIBLE! And Tsukasa vanishes from sight from the laser barrage, moving quickly to avoid any shots at a rapid pace, kicking in, for once, the coils on his wrists.+
Steam: *And now Josh has the Advent right where he wants it. "You should have run." And one moment later, a quartet of beam spikes shoot out of the the four holes in the center of the shield into the Advent.+
Nerdo: [Tsukasa] Tsukasa successfully fifty-percent-miss-chances the beams.
SJ: *Lynette's engine is damaged. The pressure could end up either damaging her Strike Unit even further, or even take her shield. So she tries something. She decreases the power of her engines to less than ten percent to stop the consumption of magic, deliberately goes downwards to easen the blows she might receive, and raises her shields as she falls. With only her magic focused on those shields as she falls, she might have a chance.+
Nerdo: [Josh] The beam spikes blast through the enemy's shield and into its torso, presumably destroying either the cockpit or the engine as the machine slumps, and promptly explodes in Josh's face (react one more time Josh)
Steam: * With all of that glorious hovering working in its favor, the Aile backpedals like no tomorrow and meanwhile Josh hopes maybe the heat of the blast well melt off some of the goo locking down his machine!+
Nerdo: [Lynnette] Lynnette might note the remarkably fast rate she descends when she intentionally cuts her engines. It gets her out of the worst of the blasts, which weren't well-aimed to begin with, but she's plummeting toward Earth at an alarming speed... (react Lynne)
Nerdo: Josh isn't quite as lucky as that, but he does escape the blast with only surface damage and what appears to be a smashed main camera
Nerdo: (Frank)
Steam: Oh, Josh can deal with that. Although now he's really working on figuring out how else he can fight without completely destroying the Aile.
Tengu: *"Give support fire to the fighters when they're in range.", Frank orders his sidekicks. He drives towards the closest Adventus mech on his tracks, firing from his gatling gun restlessly, and when he passes by the large unit he throws a sticky grenade on its leg, which explodes as he keeps shooting while going away from his target.+

Nerdo: (Frank support Lynne)
Tengu: *Frank's return route leads him up the fallen tree - he goes up it like a ramp, jumps into the air and catches the flying witch.+
Nerdo: Meanwhile, the Adventus mech, now limping, is attempting to fire its chest-mounted antipersonnel cannons after Frank and not dealing very well with the fast power armor.
Nerdo: Well, that's slightly better than hitting the ground or a tree.
Nerdo: Lynne's fall stops suddenly, but not suddenly enough to break any bones.
Nerdo: (Tsukasa)
Shaun: *Coming out of the invisible Attackride, smoking a little from a scorching near miss, he thrust another card into his Driver. ATTACKRIDE:SLASH! And another.ATTACKRIDE: ILLUSION! Separating into three Decades, swords glowing a brilliant pink er I mean magenta color, he does one of those fantastic leaps at the closest Advent with all three of his duplicates and is aiming to cleave a mecha head, arm or leg off. He has a strange urge to yell "ORE NO HISSATSU WAZA! PART 3!"+
Shaun: "ORE NO HISSATSU WAZA! PART THREE!" Yes he is a ham.
Nerdo: The Advent doesn't know which Decade to fire at, though wild AP-cannon firing does clip the real him in the shoulder once. After the attack, the damaged Advent falls over, limbless and headless.
Nerdo: Meanwhile! The unmolested ships overhead and firing laser barrages recklessly, wrecking the landscape in an attempt to smash the unknowns as well as their targets (everyone react to aerial death lasers)
Steam: * No main camera? That fucking sucks. Big time. But all Josh can do is try to back up a ways, keep his shield protecting him, and have the Aile flicker left and right as quickly as it can. Thank you, Res Arcana.+
Jisu: *"Wahhhh!" The pink unit starts moving around and seems to be getting hit by... everything. It's a miracle it's still moving.+
Tengu: *"Watch out!" Frank changes the direction in which he's dashing abruptly and several times, which also has the side effect of raising a dust cloud as temporary concealment.+
Steam: "Frank, I don't suppose your little group's any good at anti-air combat, is it?"
Shaun: *Landing, Decade grimaces and grabs his shoulder which is smoking. It hurt like hell but he thrust the Invisible Card into his Driver again. Damnit he wished he had some kind of speed card! That flying ship is going to be trouble. His two illusions buy a farm and vanish.+
Salsa: "What's with these lasers? It's like they're trying to kill us or something!" Van raises the Liger's shield array, grumbling.+
SJ: *While above Frank, Lynette had thought before about re-starting her shields. However, with her malfunctioning unit, she would do better in aiding the mech that carried her. She raises her shields, unhindered, without having to move, to protect herself and Frank.+
Inc: *Forte takes several hits, but seems to be handling it well - her ship's got decent armor, it'll take more than that to really start getting her worried. "Milfie, focus on escape!"+
Jisu: Milfie: "Right..."
Nerdo: Other than Milfie, most everyone manages to decoy or shield away the laser attack, though those who have to use energy to maintain defense systems are starting to run a little low.
Nerdo: (Enemies: Spard x3, Barmell x3. Maybe the last Advent got toasted by the barrage?)
Nerdo: (Van)
Jisu: Milfie: "I need to resupply soon..."
Salsa: *Van lowers the Liger's shield, frowning at the energy readout from shield overuse, and deploys the missile launchers. "Even if I can't reach with anything else, these'll get there!" He locks on to one of the Spards that was chasing the fighters, and lets fly. "Let's see how you like these!"
SJ: Lynette is worried. "I'm running out of magic, and my engines are damaged. I'm going to need a stationary position. Otherwise, I will not be able do much in here..."
Tengu: Frank: "You can get on my back. I'll dodge for us both."
Shaun: "Those flying units are a pain," said Decade, reappearing near Frank and Lynette. He hated vanishing all the time.
Steam: Josh: "And while you're at it, someone get on the Aile too. I could use a pair of eyes."
Jisu: Milfie: "I'm sorry, everyone! There weren't supposed to be any enemies here. It's all my luck again..."
SJ: Lynette leans on Frank's suit. With only having to focus on her rifle, she calms down. "Thank you so much..."
Shaun: Decade leaps onto Josh's mech's shoulder. "Got a clear shot from here."
Inc: Forte: "We'll have to make do, Milfeulle... Ugh."
Jisu: Milfie: "Sorry, everybody. I promise we'll explain everything soon!"
Steam: Josh nods. "I'll do what I can."
Nerdo: Van's attack lances up from the forest and into the damaged Spard, blasting its armor and - more importantly - its engines to unusability, and the black bulk of it crashes in the forest.
Nerdo: (Milfie)
Salsa: Van snorts. "Your luck can't be THAT bad, you showed up on top of a bunch of robots that can shoot things down."
Inc: Forte: "Thank you for the support fire against these units."
Steam: Josh: "No trouble. You seem to be our allies, after all."
Shaun: Tsukasa snorted. "We'll get you cake later."
Jisu: *"Actually, it's -- oh!" Milfie sees an opening on radar and aims at one of the enemy Barmells. She flies toward it, shooting pink lasers in a straight line.+
Jisu: Milfie: "Cake? Really?"
Nerdo: The Barmell is, fortunately, still recharging from that group attack and doesn't manage any counterfire. Miflie's laser fire scores several direct hits, opening a hole in its hull.
Nerdo: (Forte)
Shaun: Tsukasa smirked. "Cake. I'll make you the best cake in the world."
Jisu: Milfie: "I'll work even harder in the name of cake!"
Inc: ((Sorry for delay >.o))
Nerdo: (No problem)
Inc: *Forte quickly spins around, choosing to unload her missiles on a wide spread to try and throw the Barnells and Spards off-course, so that others can break them. "Cake? Well, there goes our seriousness..."+
Jisu: Milfie: "I'm being serious! I'm fighting for cake AND the empire!"
Jisu: Milfie: "That's double serious!"
Inc: Forte: "Point, point..."
Nerdo: [Forte] The missile massacre scatters the ships' formation, incidental damage piling up on top of Milfie's to disable one of the Barmells.
Nerdo: (Enemies: Spard x2, Barmell x2)
Nerdo: (Lynnette)
SJ: *On the back of Frank, Sgt. Lynette Bishop has the time to aim and focus her shots. It has been a while since she has used ground tactics, but now that he literally has to be behind her comrade, she aims at the points where Frank may not be looking at. Finding one unit that may even so much as glance at them, out of the attention of her companion, Lynette takes aim against the center mass of a Spard unit, and fires several shots.+
Nerdo: [Lynnette] The anti-aircraft shots punch several conveniently ground-facing holes in the destroyer!
Nerdo: (Josh)
Steam: Josh: "Tsukasa... watch yourself. I'm bringing the Impulse Cannons to bear."
Shaun: "Right." Tsukasa braced himself.
Steam: Doing his best to try to track one of the Barmell's with the Aile's cameras, Josh brings his big guns to bear again. Rather than rushing things, he patiently tries to line up a shot... and then once he does fires off two staggered shots, taking an educated guess as to where the Barmell will dodge and compensating for that.+
Steam: ^*
Nerdo: The Barmell is a big target, not especially meant for the atmosphere, and both shots hit, bringing the cruiser crashing to the ground.
Nerdo: Something Josh cannot see well, however, is another attack coming from behind. The last remaining Advent leaps out from behind cover to try and crash down onto the Chevalier with a spinning, buzzing chainsaw-sword (react Josh and Tsukasa)
Nerdo: (Frank)
Shaun: "Josh from behind!"
Steam: "What?!?"
Tengu: *Frank dashes from cover to cover, firing a burst from the shoulder-mounted gatling gun at the holes Lynette made in one of the destroyers each time he stops. The tracer rounds in his fire encourage his sidekicks to aim at the same target.+
Shaun: *Tsukasa shifts his weapon to gun mode. ATTACKRIDE BLAST! and fires repeatedly.+
Steam: *The Aile responds in the space of an instant, strafing to the side while rotating the machine to not upset Tsukasa's line of fire.+
Nerdo: [Tsukasa and Josh] Split second reaction times save the duo from a very messy attack, and knock the last Advent sparking to the ground. It drops its chainsword and doesn't get up.
Nerdo: [Frank] Sustained fire and a rocket from one of your squadmates eventually blast enough of a hole in the enemy that it can barely move...
Nerdo: (Tsukasa)
Shaun: "Someone's got to do something about those remaining fliers." Tsukasa sighed. "Keep covering my six, Josh."
Steam: Josh nods. "Can't promise it'll be a comfortable ride, Tsukasa, but you should get by. Just keep doing the same for me."
Shaun: "Don't worry. After all, I'm just passing through."
Shaun: *Holding up a pair of cards, he gauged the distance and made his decision. Using Josh's mech as a springboard, he leaped off and began to run towards a thick tree. Hitting the side of it with a kick, it began to fall as he leaped onto it and charged upwards into the air. ATTACKRIDE: ILLUSION! Three Decades appeared in his wake, splitting into another three for a total of six Decades as they all took a flying leap into the air as he slotted his last card in, a gold one. FINAL ATTACKRIDE: D-D-D-DECADE! Lines of Dimension cards trailed off as the six Illusions rocketed into the six lines, leaving the seventh for Tsukasa who followed in a flying kick as they started accelerating after the four fliers from all directions, the cards beginning to track the smaller fliers.+
Nerdo: [Tsukasa] After a confusing amount of sheer DECADE and EXPLOSION in the air, it's clear that the second-to-last attacking ship is no more.
Nerdo: (Van)
Salsa: *"Awesome, one more left! Let's do this!" He fires off the last of his missiles, then flares his boosters, jumps, bounds off a tree, and attempts to land on top of it.&
Nerdo: This time, the remaining Spard manages to shoot down some of the incoming missiles, but it still takes some damage as Shield Liger manages to (very carefully) get on top of a large tree (Van continue)
Salsa: *With as manly of a scream as he can produce, Van fires his beam cannons before attempting to tackle the ship if he hasn't downed it yet.

Nerdo: The beam cannons impact the ship, blasting away armor plating, and Shield Liger manages to land atop it, weighing it down seriously.
Nerdo: (Milfie, finish it)
Inc: Forte: "... Almost over. Now to worry about getting repairs and restocking..."
Jisu: *"Ah... over there!" Milfie charges up a big pink energy beam and fires it at the last ship. "Hyper Cannon! Fire~!"+\
Nerdo: The attack hits dead center on the ship, blowing it to smithereens spectacularly!
Salsa: The Liger lets out a roar of victory; Van feels he's forgetting something but cannot for the life of him remember what it is.
Nerdo: And also sending Shield Liger flying through the air
Nerdo: Somewhere nearby:
Nerdo: Advent Officer: "Yes, we found them, but they had weapons and numbers we weren't prepared for. I retreated when I lost my weapons and main camera. I'm sending the data n--"
Inc: Forte: "... Whew. This is over."
Nerdo: And then Shield Liger lands on top of the fled Advent, crushing it.
Nerdo: MISSION COMPLETE
Tengu: Frank: "Good job, everyone. You can enjoy your cake now."
Inc: Forte: "... Wait, seriously?"
Jisu: Milfie: "Yaaay!"
SJ: With the combat over, Lynette takes a breath, closes her eyes, and just leans on her companion as she waits on the trek back to base.
Salsa: "Ow... that hurt. That's what I forgot." He then notices the Advent he landed on. "Oh hey, there was another one. Awesome!"
Shaun: Tsukasa: I promised cake, didn't I? I'm going to head back to the ship.
Inc: Forte: "... Either way. I'm not sure how we wound up all the way out here, but if we could use your communications systems to contact the Elle Ciel, that would be appreciated."
Jisu: Milfie: "Can we talk to you afterwards? We sort of need to explain some things."
Shaun: And Tsukasa keeps falling from a incredible height. Towards the ship. This was all planned. Yes.
Steam: Josh slumps down a little in his seat but is smirking.
Steam: "Did better this time around against them..."
Steam: And with that, he has his semi-immobilized, semi-blinded machine limp back to the rest of the fleet
Inc: Forte: "Also? Two 75-meter-capacity standard docking stations, please. We'll have to figure out how to get some of the Elle Ciel's mechanics over to repair the ship... Making for another mess to worry about." *Forte sighs.*
Salsa: Van shakes off the dust and starts back to the ship, trying to meet up with the rest of the group.
Jisu: Milfie: "But everything turned out alright, didn't it? Oh, everyone! We're gonna need to talk to the people in charge. There's somebody on the Elsior who can answer all the questions you have!"
Tengu: Frank: "We will have to send a salvage team here later. Especially since some enemies are unknowns." His tracks buzz quietly as he goes back with the group at a more relaxed pace for once. He doesn't mind carrying an ally back home, not the first time he did that.
Steam: Josh: "Between us and those newcomers, we should be able to sort things out."
ShaunThere's a slight groan as a dust cloud is in the distance as Tsukasa has landed. "I'll get started on the cake." He's glad no one can see him limping as his henshin comes undone.
Nerdo: It looks suspiciously like every forest in every Hollywood movie ever made, albeit drier and more ominous
Nerdo: How are you passing the time as you patrol?
SJ: Sadly, seeing as how Sgt. Lynette Bishop cannot enjoy the comfort of a cabin, she cannot drink tea while in the sky. That, and after her previous combat experience, the witch-girl mutters an old song as she flies, trying to calm herself.
Tengu: Frank keeps being vigilant for any incoming danger and doesn't talk much. He doesn't like the feel of this place - too easy to set up an ambush, even with large mecha.
Shaun: Tsukasa's walking and taking pictures at the same time, not really paying attention to the squad. Aaah nature, so picturesque.
Nerdo: (By the way, the first Van was supposed to be Josh)
Steam: Josh has been taking his time exploring, combing through things very carefully
Steam: If anything, at least some familiarity with the area so he doesn't accidentally fall off a cliff or something
Nerdo: From their vantage point and caution, Josh and Frank are the first people to notice something off about their surroundings. However, that's only a couple of seconds before the problem becomes readily apparently to everyone.
Nerdo: From beneath camouflage nets and behind rocks, six largish white and purple mecha (http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b253/Zappa_Slave/Other/UGGrunts.jpg) burst into visibility, brandishing ugly-looking rifles.
Steam: Josh's eyes narrow.
Steam: "You guys again!"
Nerdo: A voice comes over everyone's communicators on a wide band. "We are Adventus. Surrender and disarm immediately, in the name of world peace!"
SJ: Lynne turns to Josh. "Who are they!?"
Steam: Josh quickly brings the Aile's weapon systems online and activates its hover board system. "Well, as they just said... they're Adventus toadies."
Nerdo: Adventus Officer: "We hereby seize your mechanoids and weapons of war. Power down, or we WILL shoot."
Shaun: Click went Tsukasa's camera. "They sound demanding." His tone is relaxed.
SJ: Lynette: "M-Maybe we could talk it over?"
SJ: Lynette: "We can't give you our weapons."
Tengu: Frank does not even bother responding to the newcomers. He already knows how this is going to end. "Go behind cover. Inconspiciously.", he orders his wingmen.
Nerdo: Adventus Officer: "We're not here to negotiate. You've got five seconds to start complying."
Steam: Josh's eyes narrowed. "They probably won't settle for just us. They'll make us take them back to the Chalice and make that disarm too..."
SJ: Lynne obeys that order, hovering to get behind her team.
Steam: "And in that case..." The Aile's Cypher ignites its beam blade, and Joshua readies his shield as well.
Nerdo: At the movement and offensive actions, the enemy starts to open fire!
Nerdo: (Initiative: Lynette, Josh, Frank, Tsukasa)
Nerdo: (Enemies: Advent x6)
Nerdo: (Lynette)
SJ: *Once the blazes begin, Lynette's heart races into a "fight-or-flight" mode. She descends rapidly to dodge the incoming fire, and once below, she moves herself upwards, aiming at one of the Advent units near Josh. The witch fires several shots to the center of the mass.+
Nerdo: [Lynette] The Advent raises a shield, which fills with deep dents at the rifle fire, and it takes a step back. Raising its own rifle, what seems like a bolt of lightning leaps out of the barrel and arcs toward Lynette. (React Lynette)
Nerdo: (Josh)
SJ: *She yelps. Knowing she didn't have the immediate momentum to descend or move out of the way, she raises her shields as strong as she can muster in that very moment. A blue circle of runes meant to protect.+
Steam: *Deciding not to just go ahead and rush in, especially since all his allies are so tiny, Josh instead has the Aile bring its Impulse Cannons up and into firing positions. "You know, none of your friends have taken the Aile down yet... and I can tell you none of you will either!" And with that he fires off two blasts from them, each aimed at a different Advent.+
Nerdo: [Lynette] Lynette manages to dissipate most of the attack with her magical shield. The charge that does get through, however, does some electrical damage to her Striker Unit, making it less responsive. Also her hair looks like Perrine's after her special attack.
Nerdo: [Josh] One Advent ducks behind a tree Front Mission-style, but the other takes some serious damage to its shield arm, rendering it useless. While he's focusing on those two, however, a third Advent circles behind the Chevalier and lobs some kind of grenade at his back (react Josh)
Nerdo: (Frank)
SJ: Lynette gasps, never any more grateful for having reacted so fast, and keeping her hair on a tail. "I'm going to have to stand back. My unit is malfunctioning. I'll try to cover you as much as I can!" A whimper "My hair..."

Nerdo: (Lynette support)
SJ: *As Lynne moves back from the battle, she sees the Advent unit. In that moment of danger, she aims at the skinny connection between the arm and the chest, and fires.+
Steam: *"Sneaking up from behind won't do you any good!" The Aile dashes forward and then quickly spun around, courstesy of a thruster burst from one of its cannons as Josh shoots at the Advent with his Cypher Gun.+
Tengu: "We'll support you." Frank fires a long burst from his chaingun at the base of a large tree, causing it to collapse on the damaged Adventus unit. This is just a distraction - the real attack comes from the other Lupus suits, that cover the enemy with fire!+
Tengu: * (for that above action)
Nerdo: [Lynette and Josh] The Advent takes serious damage from Lynette and Josh's counterattacks, its right arm hanging uselessly and its torso armor seriously melted afterwards. However, the projectile it threw at Josh explodes and coats the Aile in a quick-hardening clay cement, like the kind they use to patch space colonies. Aile Chevalier's torso and arms are locked into their current position, slowing it greatly.
Steam: Josh grits his teeth. "Shit!" At any rate, this still didn't get him entirely out of the fight just yet...
Nerdo: [Frank] The Advent has no problem stepping out of the way of the falling tree, not being from the Galactic Empire, but it does dodge directly into the crossfire, losing its shield and a large portion of its armor to the onslaught.
Nerdo: (Tsukasa)
Shaun: *Tsukasa calmly moves to the side in the firefight as he straps on his Driver and holds up a card quickly. "Henshin!" Slotting the card in, he closed his Driver. KAMENRIDE: DECADE! boomed a male voice as 10 forms surround him in a henshin shield as they converge on him, forming his armor. Brushing his hands, he draws his RideBooker, twisting it into gun mode as he returned fire at the various joints of a single Advent unit, one hand reaching for his cards.+
Nerdo: The Advent is taken by surprise by the powerful attacks, though its armor still protects it reasonably well. It has to step back behind a rock to avoid it...although, rather suddenly, another grenade comes out from behind said cover, heading for Tsukasa (react Tsukasa).
Nerdo: One Advent standing by itself charges toward Van's Zoid, tromping through the underbrush and leveling its weapon at him, shooting out another lightning-bolt-like projectile (Van react, then act)
Shaun: *Tsukasa's going to notice that coming at him, and instead of putting up a shield or anything, is going to leap into the air. For about 40 feet into the trees.+
Nerdo: Tsukasa passes the grenade, which creates a neat pile of instant-hardening cement on the forest floor.
Salsa: *Van sees the attack coming. "Not gonna let that hit!" The Shield Liger jumps aside and well clear before leveling the cannons under its mouth at the Advent and, with a roar, firing.+
Nerdo: Van can't quite dodge the curving path of the lightning bolt, which fries some armor and several sensor systems. On the other hand, most of the left half of the Advent is blasted and smashed by superior firepower before it can limp behind cover from the Shield Liger.
Nerdo: Suddenly, something very odd occurs in the air above the battlefield!
Nerdo: Sparks of color and things that look oddly like very large luminescent feathers flash through the sky and suddenly, where there was just sun and sky before, half a dozen large battleship-like objects appear, following a pair of...fighters?
SJ: Lynette: "More of them!?"
Nerdo: Adventus Officer: "What in the hell? Shit, still on the taunt chann--"

Jisu: Unknown #1: "Sorry, but could I ask you something?"
Steam: Josh: "Make it quick!"
Jisu: ???: "Is this the fleet from the White Chalice, by any chance?"
Steam: Oh wow. He didn't expect to hear that!
Steam: Josh: "This is a detachment from that fleet, yes! Now who are you?"
Tengu: Frank: "That's us. Were you sent to support us?"
Jisu: ???: "Ah. I'm sorry, I'm--"
Inc: ???: "Damn it Milfeulle!"
Jisu: Milfeulle: "Forteee, it's scary. Can't we just retreat?"
Inc: Forte: "If we knew which way was leading BACK, sure! Where are we, anyhow?!"
Jisu: Milfeulle: "I dunno! None of the reports said there were supposed to be any enemies out here!"

Inc: Forte: "No kidding. But now we've got... Oh, great, that's six MORE enemies down there!"

SJ: *Lynette finds herself not in the best of situations. Taking advantage of the chaos around her, a fight too focused on the big ones around her, she continues ascending, to get behind her comrades with a greater vantage point. Once there, she realizes her tandem firing would only attract attention, so she does something else: She aims against one of the faster advent units that may have not seen her, tries to calm her heart, and fires a charged shot.+
Nerdo: (Not quite your turn again yet, Lynne)
Jisu: *"Anyway, these guys are chasing us!" The pink fighter turns back and starts to fire its railguns on one of the Spards. "Could you maybe help us out?"+
SJ: ((Sorry!))
Inc: Forte: "I don't like asking for help, but... White Chalice crew, requesting cover. We'll assist as soon as we can."
Nerdo: [Milfie] The Spard's combat algorithms weren't exactly expecting the thing it was chasing to suddenly turn around now that they were in an atmosphere, or to be in an atmosphere for that matter, so its response is sluggish. Milfie's guns perforate its forward armor easily, and it returns somewhat half-assed beamspam in her direction, joined by the nearest Barmell (react Milfie)
Jisu: Milfie: "We're sorry to bother you, but this is really important!"
Nerdo: (Forte)
Jisu: *Milfie moves to the side, but still manages to get hit. "Uwaah! Owww..."+
Tengu: Frank: "We have mostly anti-ground units against flying targets. We'll help as much as we can."
Inc: *Forte chooses to try and break the path ahead. Looking at the group of Advent, she fires one of the two Railguns into the one closest to being directly in her way. She readies missiles for her next salvo. "Milfie, keep moving for now! We'll be safer once we're near their crew!"+
Jisu: Milfie: "Okay!"
Nerdo: One of the damaged Advents was not expecting an aerial attack, and takes a heavy-duty railgun shot right in the head, losing that and an arm. It's more or less out of the fight now, and attempts to retreat.
Nerdo: *[Forte]
Nerdo: Three of the remaining Advents rally to cover each other and focus fire on the Aile Chevalier, lightning bolts leaping from three different guns towards Josh. (Josh react)
Nerdo: (Lynnette)
Steam: * Josh's snorts as he sees the Advents come at him and, with the Aile's arms more or less locked down, he instead disengages the hoverboard, causing the machine to drop down to the ground to dodge the shots. "Your friend screwed up the one chance you had of beating me!" Knees bending down, the Aile's two Impulse Cannons moved up again to fire away at the Advents in retaliation as its shield was angled to protect the machine.+
SJ: *Lynette ignores the retreating unit. She takes the time to ascend towards her team's position... and to those that joined them. She takes advantage of the chaos around her, probably taking note of the newcomers rather than on the small witch flying with a damaged Striker Unit. She ascends towards the clouds. Once there, seeing Josh's attack, she fires several rounds at the Advent units that may escape from his attack.+
Nerdo: [Josh] Josh's shield gets a nasty shock that transfers through to his arm's (useless anyway) motor systems, but in return, he knocks over one of the Advents, which explodes.
Steam: Josh can't help but grin a little. "One down."
Nerdo: [Lynette] And Lynette's rifle fire disables another. The third from that group, the least damaged and possibly the team leader, angles its head upward at the attacker...then quickly ducks away as one of the floating ships overhead fires a barrage of lasers in a downward angle. (React Lynette, Josh, Tsukasa)
Nerdo: (Also Josh go)
Steam: * And now that he's got one of those Advents down, Josh has the Aile's Impulse Cannons flip around again onto its back and reactivate the overboard. One blast of thrust later and it rockets forward, straight at one of the Advents from before to ram it with his shield!-

Nerdo: [Josh] Josh's shield meets the Advent's as it attempts to hold its ground, lasers crashing down into the foliage from above and splintering trees (Josh continue)
Shaun: *ATTACKRIDE: INVISIBLE! And Tsukasa vanishes from sight from the laser barrage, moving quickly to avoid any shots at a rapid pace, kicking in, for once, the coils on his wrists.+
Steam: *And now Josh has the Advent right where he wants it. "You should have run." And one moment later, a quartet of beam spikes shoot out of the the four holes in the center of the shield into the Advent.+
Nerdo: [Tsukasa] Tsukasa successfully fifty-percent-miss-chances the beams.
SJ: *Lynette's engine is damaged. The pressure could end up either damaging her Strike Unit even further, or even take her shield. So she tries something. She decreases the power of her engines to less than ten percent to stop the consumption of magic, deliberately goes downwards to easen the blows she might receive, and raises her shields as she falls. With only her magic focused on those shields as she falls, she might have a chance.+
Nerdo: [Josh] The beam spikes blast through the enemy's shield and into its torso, presumably destroying either the cockpit or the engine as the machine slumps, and promptly explodes in Josh's face (react one more time Josh)
Steam: * With all of that glorious hovering working in its favor, the Aile backpedals like no tomorrow and meanwhile Josh hopes maybe the heat of the blast well melt off some of the goo locking down his machine!+
Nerdo: [Lynnette] Lynnette might note the remarkably fast rate she descends when she intentionally cuts her engines. It gets her out of the worst of the blasts, which weren't well-aimed to begin with, but she's plummeting toward Earth at an alarming speed... (react Lynne)
Nerdo: Josh isn't quite as lucky as that, but he does escape the blast with only surface damage and what appears to be a smashed main camera
Nerdo: (Frank)
Steam: Oh, Josh can deal with that. Although now he's really working on figuring out how else he can fight without completely destroying the Aile.
Tengu: *"Give support fire to the fighters when they're in range.", Frank orders his sidekicks. He drives towards the closest Adventus mech on his tracks, firing from his gatling gun restlessly, and when he passes by the large unit he throws a sticky grenade on its leg, which explodes as he keeps shooting while going away from his target.+

Tengu: *Frank's return route leads him up the fallen tree - he goes up it like a ramp, jumps into the air and catches the flying witch.+
Nerdo: Meanwhile, the Adventus mech, now limping, is attempting to fire its chest-mounted antipersonnel cannons after Frank and not dealing very well with the fast power armor.
Nerdo: Well, that's slightly better than hitting the ground or a tree.
Nerdo: Lynne's fall stops suddenly, but not suddenly enough to break any bones.
Nerdo: (Tsukasa)
Shaun: *Coming out of the invisible Attackride, smoking a little from a scorching near miss, he thrust another card into his Driver. ATTACKRIDE:SLASH! And another.ATTACKRIDE: ILLUSION! Separating into three Decades, swords glowing a brilliant pink er I mean magenta color, he does one of those fantastic leaps at the closest Advent with all three of his duplicates and is aiming to cleave a mecha head, arm or leg off. He has a strange urge to yell "ORE NO HISSATSU WAZA! PART 3!"+
Shaun: "ORE NO HISSATSU WAZA! PART THREE!" Yes he is a ham.
Nerdo: The Advent doesn't know which Decade to fire at, though wild AP-cannon firing does clip the real him in the shoulder once. After the attack, the damaged Advent falls over, limbless and headless.
Nerdo: Meanwhile! The unmolested ships overhead and firing laser barrages recklessly, wrecking the landscape in an attempt to smash the unknowns as well as their targets (everyone react to aerial death lasers)
Steam: * No main camera? That fucking sucks. Big time. But all Josh can do is try to back up a ways, keep his shield protecting him, and have the Aile flicker left and right as quickly as it can. Thank you, Res Arcana.+
Jisu: *"Wahhhh!" The pink unit starts moving around and seems to be getting hit by... everything. It's a miracle it's still moving.+
Tengu: *"Watch out!" Frank changes the direction in which he's dashing abruptly and several times, which also has the side effect of raising a dust cloud as temporary concealment.+
Steam: "Frank, I don't suppose your little group's any good at anti-air combat, is it?"
Shaun: *Landing, Decade grimaces and grabs his shoulder which is smoking. It hurt like hell but he thrust the Invisible Card into his Driver again. Damnit he wished he had some kind of speed card! That flying ship is going to be trouble. His two illusions buy a farm and vanish.+
Salsa: "What's with these lasers? It's like they're trying to kill us or something!" Van raises the Liger's shield array, grumbling.+
SJ: *While above Frank, Lynette had thought before about re-starting her shields. However, with her malfunctioning unit, she would do better in aiding the mech that carried her. She raises her shields, unhindered, without having to move, to protect herself and Frank.+
Inc: *Forte takes several hits, but seems to be handling it well - her ship's got decent armor, it'll take more than that to really start getting her worried. "Milfie, focus on escape!"+
Jisu: Milfie: "Right..."
Nerdo: Other than Milfie, most everyone manages to decoy or shield away the laser attack, though those who have to use energy to maintain defense systems are starting to run a little low.
Nerdo: (Enemies: Spard x3, Barmell x3. Maybe the last Advent got toasted by the barrage?)
Nerdo: (Van)
Jisu: Milfie: "I need to resupply soon..."
Salsa: *Van lowers the Liger's shield, frowning at the energy readout from shield overuse, and deploys the missile launchers. "Even if I can't reach with anything else, these'll get there!" He locks on to one of the Spards that was chasing the fighters, and lets fly. "Let's see how you like these!"
SJ: Lynette is worried. "I'm running out of magic, and my engines are damaged. I'm going to need a stationary position. Otherwise, I will not be able do much in here..."
Tengu: Frank: "You can get on my back. I'll dodge for us both."
Shaun: "Those flying units are a pain," said Decade, reappearing near Frank and Lynette. He hated vanishing all the time.
Steam: Josh: "And while you're at it, someone get on the Aile too. I could use a pair of eyes."
Jisu: Milfie: "I'm sorry, everyone! There weren't supposed to be any enemies here. It's all my luck again..."
SJ: Lynette leans on Frank's suit. With only having to focus on her rifle, she calms down. "Thank you so much..."
Shaun: Decade leaps onto Josh's mech's shoulder. "Got a clear shot from here."
Inc: Forte: "We'll have to make do, Milfeulle... Ugh."
Jisu: Milfie: "Sorry, everybody. I promise we'll explain everything soon!"
Steam: Josh nods. "I'll do what I can."
Nerdo: Van's attack lances up from the forest and into the damaged Spard, blasting its armor and - more importantly - its engines to unusability, and the black bulk of it crashes in the forest.
Nerdo: (Milfie)
Salsa: Van snorts. "Your luck can't be THAT bad, you showed up on top of a bunch of robots that can shoot things down."
Inc: Forte: "Thank you for the support fire against these units."
Steam: Josh: "No trouble. You seem to be our allies, after all."
Shaun: Tsukasa snorted. "We'll get you cake later."
Jisu: *"Actually, it's -- oh!" Milfie sees an opening on radar and aims at one of the enemy Barmells. She flies toward it, shooting pink lasers in a straight line.+
Jisu: Milfie: "Cake? Really?"
Nerdo: The Barmell is, fortunately, still recharging from that group attack and doesn't manage any counterfire. Miflie's laser fire scores several direct hits, opening a hole in its hull.
Nerdo: (Forte)
Shaun: Tsukasa smirked. "Cake. I'll make you the best cake in the world."
Jisu: Milfie: "I'll work even harder in the name of cake!"
Inc: ((Sorry for delay >.o))
Nerdo: (No problem)
Inc: *Forte quickly spins around, choosing to unload her missiles on a wide spread to try and throw the Barnells and Spards off-course, so that others can break them. "Cake? Well, there goes our seriousness..."+
Jisu: Milfie: "I'm being serious! I'm fighting for cake AND the empire!"
Jisu: Milfie: "That's double serious!"
Inc: Forte: "Point, point..."
Nerdo: [Forte] The missile massacre scatters the ships' formation, incidental damage piling up on top of Milfie's to disable one of the Barmells.
Nerdo: (Enemies: Spard x2, Barmell x2)

SJ: *On the back of Frank, Sgt. Lynette Bishop has the time to aim and focus her shots. It has been a while since she has used ground tactics, but now that he literally has to be behind her comrade, she aims at the points where Frank may not be looking at. Finding one unit that may even so much as glance at them, out of the attention of her companion, Lynette takes aim against the center mass of a Spard unit, and fires several shots.+
Nerdo: [Lynnette] The anti-aircraft shots punch several conveniently ground-facing holes in the destroyer!
Nerdo: (Josh)
Steam: Josh: "Tsukasa... watch yourself. I'm bringing the Impulse Cannons to bear."
Shaun: "Right." Tsukasa braced himself.
Steam: Doing his best to try to track one of the Barmell's with the Aile's cameras, Josh brings his big guns to bear again. Rather than rushing things, he patiently tries to line up a shot... and then once he does fires off two staggered shots, taking an educated guess as to where the Barmell will dodge and compensating for that.+

Nerdo: The Barmell is a big target, not especially meant for the atmosphere, and both shots hit, bringing the cruiser crashing to the ground.
Nerdo: Something Josh cannot see well, however, is another attack coming from behind. The last remaining Advent leaps out from behind cover to try and crash down onto the Chevalier with a spinning, buzzing chainsaw-sword (react Josh and Tsukasa)
Nerdo: (Frank)
Shaun: "Josh from behind!"
Steam: "What?!?"
Tengu: *Frank dashes from cover to cover, firing a burst from the shoulder-mounted gatling gun at the holes Lynette made in one of the destroyers each time he stops. The tracer rounds in his fire encourage his sidekicks to aim at the same target.+
Shaun: *Tsukasa shifts his weapon to gun mode. ATTACKRIDE BLAST! and fires repeatedly.+
Steam: *The Aile responds in the space of an instant, strafing to the side while rotating the machine to not upset Tsukasa's line of fire.+
Nerdo: [Tsukasa and Josh] Split second reaction times save the duo from a very messy attack, and knock the last Advent sparking to the ground. It drops its chainsword and doesn't get up.
Nerdo: [Frank] Sustained fire and a rocket from one of your squadmates eventually blast enough of a hole in the enemy that it can barely move...
Nerdo: (Tsukasa)
Shaun: "Someone's got to do something about those remaining fliers." Tsukasa sighed. "Keep covering my six, Josh."
Steam: Josh nods. "Can't promise it'll be a comfortable ride, Tsukasa, but you should get by. Just keep doing the same for me."
Shaun: "Don't worry. After all, I'm just passing through."
Shaun: *Holding up a pair of cards, he gauged the distance and made his decision. Using Josh's mech as a springboard, he leaped off and began to run towards a thick tree. Hitting the side of it with a kick, it began to fall as he leaped onto it and charged upwards into the air. ATTACKRIDE: ILLUSION! Three Decades appeared in his wake, splitting into another three for a total of six Decades as they all took a flying leap into the air as he slotted his last card in, a gold one. FINAL ATTACKRIDE: D-D-D-DECADE! Lines of Dimension cards trailed off as the six Illusions rocketed into the six lines, leaving the seventh for Tsukasa who followed in a flying kick as they started accelerating after the four fliers from all directions, the cards beginning to track the smaller fliers.+
Nerdo: [Tsukasa] After a confusing amount of sheer DECADE and EXPLOSION in the air, it's clear that the second-to-last attacking ship is no more.
Nerdo: (Van)
Salsa: *"Awesome, one more left! Let's do this!" He fires off the last of his missiles, then flares his boosters, jumps, bounds off a tree, and attempts to land on top of it.&
Nerdo: This time, the remaining Spard manages to shoot down some of the incoming missiles, but it still takes some damage as Shield Liger manages to (very carefully) get on top of a large tree (Van continue)
Salsa: *With as manly of a scream as he can produce, Van fires his beam cannons before attempting to tackle the ship if he hasn't downed it yet.
Salsa: +
Nerdo: The beam cannons impact the ship, blasting away armor plating, and Shield Liger manages to land atop it, weighing it down seriously.
Nerdo: (Milfie, finish it)
Inc: Forte: "... Almost over. Now to worry about getting repairs and restocking..."
Jisu: *"Ah... over there!" Milfie charges up a big pink energy beam and fires it at the last ship. "Hyper Cannon! Fire~!"+\
Nerdo: The attack hits dead center on the ship, blowing it to smithereens spectacularly!
Salsa: The Liger lets out a roar of victory; Van feels he's forgetting something but cannot for the life of him remember what it is.
Nerdo: And also sending Shield Liger flying through the air
Nerdo: Somewhere nearby:
Nerdo: Advent Officer: "Yes, we found them, but they had weapons and numbers we weren't prepared for. I retreated when I lost my weapons and main camera. I'm sending the data n--"
Inc: Forte: "... Whew. This is over."
Nerdo: And then Shield Liger lands on top of the fled Advent, crushing it.
Nerdo: MISSION COMPLETE
Tengu: Frank: "Good job, everyone. You can enjoy your cake now."
Inc: Forte: "... Wait, seriously?"
Jisu: Milfie: "Yaaay!"
SJ: With the combat over, Lynette takes a breath, closes her eyes, and just leans on her companion as she waits on the trek back to base.
Salsa: "Ow... that hurt. That's what I forgot." He then notices the Advent he landed on. "Oh hey, there was another one. Awesome!"
Shaun: Tsukasa: I promised cake, didn't I? I'm going to head back to the ship.
Inc: Forte: "... Either way. I'm not sure how we wound up all the way out here, but if we could use your communications systems to contact the Elle Ciel, that would be appreciated."
Jisu: Milfie: "Can we talk to you afterwards? We sort of need to explain some things."
Shaun: And Tsukasa keeps falling from a incredible height. Towards the ship. This was all planned. Yes.
Steam: Josh slumps down a little in his seat but is smirking.
Steam: "Did better this time around against them..."
Steam: And with that, he has his semi-immobilized, semi-blinded machine limp back to the rest of the fleet
Inc: Forte: "Also? Two 75-meter-capacity standard docking stations, please. We'll have to figure out how to get some of the Elle Ciel's mechanics over to repair the ship... Making for another mess to worry about." *Forte sighs.*
Salsa: Van shakes off the dust and starts back to the ship, trying to meet up with the rest of the group.
Jisu: Milfie: "But everything turned out alright, didn't it? Oh, everyone! We're gonna need to talk to the people in charge. There's somebody on the Elsior who can answer all the questions you have!"
Tengu: Frank: "We will have to send a salvage team here later. Especially since some enemies are unknowns." His tracks buzz quietly as he goes back with the group at a more relaxed pace for once. He doesn't mind carrying an ally back home, not the first time he did that.
Steam: Josh: "Between us and those newcomers, we should be able to sort things out."
ShaunThere's a slight groan as a dust cloud is in the distance as Tsukasa has landed. "I'll get started on the cake." He's glad no one can see him limping as his henshin comes undone.
